Title: Driver Issue (Please! Urgent need of help)
Post by: Link9rly on May 16, 2010, 06:03:14 am
So I recently installed Windows 7 and it worked awesome until about an hour ago. My internet card just stopped working after restarting due to an install of DAEMON Tools. The computer restarted and it had no internet. Checked the router and the indicator for my computer was off. I checked device manager and it was there, but had an attention icon beside it. I clicked on properties and it says "The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers requested for the device (Code 31)". The drivers are still on the system. I already tried system restore. Please do not suggest a format. The green light for the card in the back is not blinking. Also, until I can fix it, I can't access Argonath.

Move to support please.

I'd suggest you to lookup the model from that thing and download the driver manually, if that doesn't work maybe try to uninstall and re-install the device with your original software.

: The PC has no way of connecting to the internet. It can't even access LAN. It is Realtek PCIe GBI family card. I'll try finding the exact model and DL it on my other computer.

Yeah, try with an USB stick.

: It fixed itself apparently.. Went to start menu, clicked on Devices and Printers (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers) then it said to troubleshoot the main PC. It did and it reinstalled the driver.
