Title: Argonath 3D
Post by: Max. on May 16, 2010, 02:19:36 pm
Hey peeps im not sure if this is the right place to be posting this topic but my friend just gave me this awesome program that makes all Games that use Direct x 9 or better 3D and GTA SA is one of them, ive tried and tested this the 3d is fully customizable u can change the amount of 3D you want etc.

anyways ill cut right to it (time to get out your red and blue 3D glasses) here is 2 screenshots both same location of me in my sultan

1 has 3D the other has just the normal GTA SA

i have only got the 3D settings on slightly (because if u put it too far it hurts ur eyes and goes blurry)

theres a few problems but as u use it for a while your eyes adjust to them they are the colors (as u can see in the screenshot below)

and here is GTA without the 3D

as u can see (if u have the 3d Glasses on) it doesnt change much but it is pretty cool to have and if you tweak it perfectly it can look really nice

if i get ppl interested in the program ill upload it and give u a link but for now ill just give u the program name.

Anaglyph Driver is the program name (i got it off a friend but u should be able to get it if u just google it)

When installing choose that you want to install Anaglyph 3D Driver

Trust me its definetely worth downloading this even if it is just for fun.

if u want any more info Post away or contact me on my MSN which is in my Sig and  over the side.

Peace out, Max.

Download links:
(ive uploaded it several times so theres no stuff ups like with the image)
Media Fire: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ityg3mfqflj/Anaglyph%20Driver.exe (http://www.mediafire.com/file/ityg3mfqflj/Anaglyph%20Driver.exe)
File Factory: http://www.filefactory.com/file/b1b8db2/n/Anaglyph_Driver.exe (http://www.filefactory.com/file/b1b8db2/n/Anaglyph_Driver.exe)
Rapid Share: http://rapidshare.com/files/388284701/Anaglyph_Driver.exe.html (http://rapidshare.com/files/388284701/Anaglyph_Driver.exe.html)
File Dropper: http://www.filedropper.com/anaglyphdriver (http://www.filedropper.com/anaglyphdriver)
Tell me if a link goes dead or sumthing

How to Setup (if it doesnt work automatically):

During the install make sure u choose Anaglyph 3D from the Dropdown menu so it installs the correct 3D Drivers

in the Menu of the iZ3D Driver

make sure u select Enable Stereo by Hot-Key

and the output is Anaglyph (free) and Red/Cyan

mine automatically set itself like this but make sure u make the settings like that

if you want to you can enable the wizzard which is a great help when u 1st start using this 3D app

to do so go into Profiles -->> Game Then Select Show Wizzard
then once youve learnt the controls and set it all up perfectly then you can go back into it and untick that box

Young Kostov has reported that it doesnt work on his computer and im unsure if he has fixed it

CONTROLLS In Game:

all these controls are on Numpad so if you dont have one youll need to configure the controls in the program

*      to Enable or Disable
+ AND -    to adjust the amount of 3D split
Shift + AND Shift -     to adjust the focus

These are the controls that are preset you can configure them in the program

you should be able to get 3D glasses at video stores or cinemas (i know they have upgraded to the new style 3D glasses so ask for the RED BLUE glasses) ive ordered mine off the internet but alot of computer stores online probably have them (the following link is an australian company and only australians can buy glasses from them) here is a link to where mine are bought from : http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=284_987&products_id=11413 (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=284_987&products_id=11413) They are currently sold out but keep checking they might get some in stock soon.

once again if u need any help my MSN is everywhere on my profile, Enjoy using 3D on argo (i know i am)

yep the only way u can get those new 3d glasses to work is get a 3D mod for ur computer u can get the Nvidia pack (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=284_987&products_id=13155) for like $300 but its much cheaper to use this free program

The red and blue 3D Glasses or old now and we don't use them in my cinemas anymore, because of their low-quality. We have 'IMAX 3D' glasses which are awesome, hopefully we can use these some day for our computers + gaming  :D

The funny part is, Nvidia already offers these drivers, lol.
But I bought some glasses, waiting for them to arrive :)

I believe the ones you are referring to require three monitors...
unless they have like a lower-quality one that doesn't require that.

I have to say, the three-monitor experience from Nvidia has to be the most exhilarating thing ever. Go check it out on their website.

Works good, nice effect.
The only thing that bothers me is that my FPS drops from a 60/70 to 20 FPS, in Los Santos, that is.
However, if I remove the hud it goes up to a steady 30/40 FPS, which is playable. 20 fps isn't playable really..

yes but the massive drop in framerate is to be expected since it is splitting the screen into 3 if your computer runs SA at top quality and has power to spare it shouldnt drop significantly if at all

remember computers dont run entirely off graphics cards... also youd be better off just getting a 2nd graphics card then upgrading (if your motherboard supports it that is)

My 3D Glasses arrived today they are great quality and slightly polarised, ive had great fun using them on argonath they work alot better then cheap ones, if you have a chance try to get some better ones they are alot better quality and youll be surpised at the difference.

Bit late for me to respond, but only just noticed this reaction.
But my motherboard does not support SLI and the 9500GT is not worthy or SLI either, since a 9800GTX will do the same as 2 9500's.

What also bothers me during playing with the red/cyan thingy, is being unable to see what chat is what.. for example, if you're a cop, you won't see a difference between /r and /l so that's rather tricky.
