Title: [SOLVED]Problems with VC:MP
Post by: Boozman on May 17, 2010, 11:41:57 pm
For awhile now i have been attempting to join the Argonath VC:MP server and have not been successful. I have tried to connect to other servers to test and I even started a local server at it still will not work. Basically what happens is everything loads just as it should, then once the game loads it stays at the 'Connecting to Server' screen and goes nowhere. The same for every server i try to join. I have assured that the firewall has VC:MP unblocked and that everything is connected fine, I have also searched on various websites, forums, and wiki's to solve this problem and have no luck.

Can anyone, perhaps a VC:MP admin shine some light on the subject? I would love to come check out the server as I have not been in VC:MP in many, many months.

Regards,
Boozman

After talking with JayL, I am pretty sure that my version is correct.
Downloaded the update package and same results, Disabled firewall to test it and same results.

I have tried all I can think of :S

This problem is only caused by wrong client or server being down.

Here's the link for correct version....the one on VCMP site is not.
http://www.4shared.com/file/xv3AbWo8/VCMP.html (http://www.4shared.com/file/xv3AbWo8/VCMP.html)

That compressed file also contains VCMP server and GUPS 1.15.
To play, you only need to install the client :)
