Title: Google Earth and Windows 7...
Post by: Emre on May 27, 2010, 07:18:41 am
Hey,
I got a ... strange problem with my Computer(Windows 7 System) And The Application,Google Earth.I guess you all know this one.I was installing it on my PC,and when it started,it told me i should rather start in DirectX-Mode,so i did.And after it loaded the map, after 3-6 Seconds, the Screen goes black, then i can see GE again but without Globe. Then it disappears and then my monitor goes in Standby Mode.I have all my Drivers updated, and its still not working, what may it be?

I got the same problem.

When i open Google Earth it goes blackscreen, normal screen, blackscreen again and so on. After a while it gives me a BSOD.

I searched and searched until I found this from another forum

"To solve it I went into the Google Earth tools, options, cache and increased the memory cache to the max of 1024.  I also increased the navigation speed (which might not have made a difference).  Afterwords in stead of locking up at a low resolution condition, the program just flies. "

Try that, If it doesn't work. Tell me
