1994, May 25th. One of the most notorious times for Los Santos. As midnight struck, the entrance to Los Santos from Flint County lite up orange, sounds of screaming civilians echoed through the City. This is the era of Kilo Trey 242 Ballas. As the orange lite and screaming and bellowing of loud, deep voiced people echoed through, and eventualy reached Jefferson, the Los Santos Police Department's Special Weapons And Tactics team arrived attempting to stop the 'mob' However, this was no normal mob. This 'mob' included the majority of the most feared people of San Fierro in. As the mob reached Jefferson Train Tracks, they halted. The LSPD had blockedtheir way, and had SWAT Officers lined up, Water Tanks at the ready, and a few Choppers from above. Large men, stood one side of the Jefferson Train Tracks, armed with light up sticks, Baseball bats with purple rags on and molotovs. The other side of the train tracks, stood over 50, heavily armed SWAT Officers ready for close combat. The city dropped silent. Not a sound was heard. Suddenly, a large roar of '242' came from the Large males, with purple rags. The Police force stood calm, holding their position, not saying anything. The SWAT Officers only had the equipment to stop a brawl, not a shootout. Little did the officers know, every, single, person, who was in the mob, had some form of firearm. As they put out their lights, and threw the sticks aside, they took out their guns, standing head to head to the Police Force. Some of the members being armed with AK-47's, Some with M1911's, some with Colt .45's and some with Mac-10's. As the Police Force were monitoring the actions from above in the Choppers, they saw them draw their guns. Another load roar echoed through the city from the members. The Police Force radioed in for a Heavy Resistance team which consisted of SWAT Officers with much bigger guns, such as M4A1's. As the tranismission to the Heavy Resistance team stopped, The war began. As a large group of men approached the Train Tracks to the south, with blue rags, all mexicans, the men in purple all rotated round, facing them. The mexicans were heavily outnumbered, but the Police Force wasn't. As the SWAT Officers tried to rush and block them from attacking, it was to late! The men in purple charged at the Mexicans with guns shooting! Bats swinging and load shouting! Vehicles were blown. Houses were shot up. Civilians were caught in crossfire, and many, many peopel were lost that night.
As the mexicans were forced to retreat back to El Corona, the men in purple claimed Jefferson and East Los Santos. As time passed, the men in purple kept a hold of the area for a long time. Noone knew who these men were for some time, until they began tagging up their turf. As people drove past, they would see gang tags, scattered all over Jefferson and East Los Santos, saying Kilo Tray 242 Ballas, or just 242. From there on, the mexicans were never disturbing the 242 Ballas, and the 242 Ballas were not disturbing them... much.
As even more time passed, 242 Ballas was growing large, with nearly 5 people on every corner of Jefferson and East Los Santos, it was time to expand the turf. First of all the 242 Ballas wiped out the Bloods on Crenshaw Avenue. Then the crips on the Idlewood Projects, then it was a war between the Mexicans, and 242 for Idlewood. Whoever claimed Idlewood, would be one
very powerful gang, yet they'd be under attacks nearly 24/7 due to it being the heart of the gangland. As the 242 Ballas fought and kept men there for months against the mexicans, they eventualy claimed it as theirs, tagging it up with 242 everywere.
