Title: GTA 4 Problems (PC)
Post by: Philip_McRay on June 06, 2010, 11:05:25 am
Hi, I just installed GTA 4 again after a half year or so. But as a suprize, I still have two very annoying bugs and even one more now. Even though I've re-installed windows and re-installed GTA 4.

The first bug is that I get a sound bug, for example when I horn, the horn won't stop. Same happens if I skip the cutscenes but they continue talking instead.

The secound bug;
I get terrible lag spikes, I know that my computer can run GTA 4, since it runs very well when the bug isn't "on".

Spec;
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs)

3070 MB RAM (I have 4gb, somehow it shows that I only have 3070, it's maybe becouse of my "old" but very good OS)

Windows XP Home Edition SP3

NVIDEA GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB

Realtek HD Audio output

And the third bug. I cannot save the game or play multiplayer, as I have to be logged into Windows Live. But when I've logged in, downloaded the login data or whatever, I have to download some update, of course I accept it but... it continues saying I have to update, update and update.

Thanks, may be some f**ked up language D:

This game rocks, but the Xbox live shit fails... I cannot even play GTA 4 now. Cool.

The 1st bug, well idk
The 2nd bug, it's normal with that CPU and a 512Mb video card.
The 3rd bug, dunno, perhaps there's a manual way to update?

: The reason it shows up as 3 GBs is because you're running a 32 bit system. Upgrade to 64 bit. Try looking at available patches.
