Welcome to the EsmeraldasCubanas topic

ClanName

The gang was originally founded with the name 'Cuban Marielitos' but with the Irish link and the change in the background story, it is now known as 'Esmeraldas Cubanas' (Cuban Emeralds) due to the Irish-Cuban link

TheRules

The basic rules for this gang are:
>No Death matching
>No flaming other players
>Role-play very well
>Maintain the gang's good reputation

We also have more detailed rules which are included in the member guide

Background

In July 1980, a young Cuban hitman by the name of 'Antonio "Tony" Montana' claimed political asylum in Florida in the United States after departing Cuba via the Mariel boatlift. Tony goes through a detention camp called 'Freedomtown' with other Cubans. On August 11, 1980, Tony and his friend Manny kill a former aide to Fidel Castro for a green card  during a riot at 'Freedomtown', the green card enabling freedom to exit the detention camp.

Montana and his friend Manny are working in a small food stand before Omar offers Tony and Manny their first coke job. Montana finds work with local crime boss Frank López, who hires him as an enforcer in his criminal hierarchy. Over the next few months, Montana begins his rise through the ranks of the Miami cocaine underworld.

While on business in Bolivia, Montana begins to show his defiance to López's authority when he negotiates a deal with Alejandro Sosa, the ruthless and powerful Bolivian drug lord. Following an argument with López over the deal, Montana leaves López's service and strikes out on his own. Following a failed assassination attempt by López's men, Montana and his men kill López and Montana takes over the drug business. He starts dealing with Sosa one on one while making a huge profit.

As Montana's money grows, so does his cocaine addiction and greed. His depression starts to kick in and he is arrested in a sting operation and charged with tax evasion. A group of Bolivan drug dealers, Sosa, and a CIA officer offer to help Montana out of his legal troubles. In exchange, Montana must assist in the assassination of a journalist attempting to expose corruption in the Bolivian government. He gets angry when he sees the targets wife and kids get into the target car, and he kills the man who was just about to blow the car up with a bomb.

This mission was a mess up. He returned to Miami. Sosa sends an assassination team to Montana's mansion, taking out his guards before they can raise an alarm. High on cocaine, Montana takes the attackers on with an M16.A man with a shotgun was approaching Montana from behind without him knowing while he was standing on the balcony, Montana moved at the last second, and got shot in the leg.

The DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and Miami Police raid the mansion causing a wild state of confusion in which Montana was able to escape in his boat. 2 days later, during his voyage across the sea, he meets a group of drug smugglers in a yacht who are being held up by a pair of coastguards. One of the coastguards on the smugglers yacht notices Montana and was about to radio the authorities.

During this time, in 1980 the smuggler he was supposed to be arresting pulled out a gun from the back of his jeans, and shot the two coastguards. Montana, relived and impressed, went over to the smugglers yacht. Montana asked what they had on board and who they were. The shooters name was 'Decy', a young Irish-American who was an independent drug courier. Telling Decy his story about how he lost everything, Decy gave him a few kilos of cocaine to start everything back up again. They then built up a solid partnership, Decy later becoming Montana's right-hand man.

Ten years later, in a meeting on Cuban Islands in 1990, Montana and Decy agreed a plan. Montana was to regain control of Miami while Decy was to get control of the Drug Empire in the state of California

Although other gangs may claim ownership of certain turf, El Esmeraldas Cubanas have turf in many areas,mainly in the Los Santos region. The territory is centred on Verona Beach, and Marina in Los Santos.

Cars are known to be Yellow in colour when they appear to be active, although the colour may be neutral when they don't want to be noticed.

Want to become a member? The application rules are as follows:
>You MUST have been playing on Argonath server for 2 weeks or more
>You must not have had any complaints against you in the past
>You must show Role-Playing capabilities
>You must be ready to participate in gang tasks without hesitation

If you believe you have what it takes and fulfil the above requirements, inform Decy on forums and he will arrange an interview time for you on server. If you cannot make it he will send a list of questions to you

If you pass the interview, you will become an official member and will be given the [EsC]Member Package. The member package includes: Music from the Scarface Soundtrack, clan pictures,and the [EsC]Member Guide, detailing rules and information about the clan :)

You must also change to our [EsCt] tag for 7 days

Q: Where do you get your drugs from? Do you just make them up?
We do and we dont. We 'import' them into Marina using a boat, by sailing out into middle of nowhere in sea and then returning. We then 'load' them into cars or 'store' them directly in a garage. The amounts decline after awhile so after a certain level has been reached we import some more drugs in. We also be fair to cops by showing on chat window the actions we are doing like lifting crates etc.

Q: Do they have any effect on me when i buy them?
Technically not. Its pure RP. You can always role play that you are high on them if you wish

Q: Then whats the use in buying the drugs?
We are currently the first and only gang who has a focus on drugs. We RP the importing well and so we are basically the most 'official' when it comes to dealing. Others make drugs outta thin air, we RP them by importing and keeping stock levels. There is also the possibility that you will get a wanted level if the cops raid the deal, which means you have participated in good RP crime

yea this a cool group/gang i was recruited by Decy ages ago and due to personal issues i.e GSF i was not able to cruise around with decy for 2 long but as im still in the clan i hope to get back to duty as soon as Decy says so, peace, Tíocfaidh Ar Lá,

After 2 informal meetings over territory's with the leaders of Las Colinas Vagos ([LCV]Nitrox) and the Grove Street Family ([GSF]Niall) it has come to my attention that a few changes must be made. First of all, it has come to my attention that the areas of 'Playa Del Sevolle' and 'Los Florres' are currently owned respectively by Los Colinas Vagos and the Grove Street Family, therefore i withdraw my claim that we owned these areas. However, i made a deal with them that i can freely use these two areas for business purposes (i.e Hotels) if i wish, without causing any confrontation or friction between these groups. I am now going to focus my territory on the Marina and Verona Beach area of Los Santos, which caters for our importing aspects of materials in the future. It has also came to my attention that Los Colinas Vagos use yellow cars as gang cars, therefore i will review and change the colour of our gang cars to avoid confusion

Summary:
>Withdrawing ownership of Los Florres and Playa Del Sevolle but managed a clause which enables us to set up a business there
>Focusing our territory on the Marina and Verona Beach area of Los Santos

Ok lads, due to the situation with the [LCV] yellow clan colour i can now  unveil that the new car colour for [EsC] is.....<drum roll> AQUA BLUE! Oh yea the picture of cars has changed now lol. As for recruitment, i spent a long time making an exclusive member package to those who join. This includes info about the gang,rules,pictures,music..bleh all sorts i cant be assed covering it all :lol:. I need to upload it somewhere so it can be downloaded. Anyways that's it, thanks for looking :)

BusinessUpdate

We imported a boat full of cocaine from the islands and brought it to the Marina in Los Santos. I docked it up and got a few helpers to offload the blocks into a blue clan admiral. Upon filling the boot with blocks i got greedy and decided to fill up the back seats in the car. As i put the first block in the back seat, the LSPD arrived in a sting operation and i fled in the car. We were cornered and i had to abandon the car, resulting in a loss of 4 blocks from the boot. I tried to fight them off but i got shot many times. Me and the helpers ended up in hopsital.

When i arrived back at the Marina, i was stunned to see the boat still docked untouched, with 6 blocks left on-board. I loaded these blocks into a gang car and went to sell a few grams. I gave a sample to a guy for free, which was 10g, and then i sold 30g to a member of Grove Street. I then sold 300g to a member of the [ALS]. I then offloaded the remaining blocks in a garage at marina and went to ditch the car. When doing so, an undercover cop chased me so i drove to the pier in the gang car and jumped out. The car landed in the sea so they cant trace anything i did down. The blocks remain locked in a garage around the marina area.

Maybe you shouldn't say exactly who you sold it to though, it might put off the uh... law abiding citizens that don't want any trouble from the police :cop:

Yea i want people to know how well we are doing, i want to be fair to the players on this server. Its also good for RP because we 'heisted' a few blocks today therefore we are kinda not selling cocaine outta thin air if you know what i mean. It also means there will be more heists when we run out.

Yea i know. We need to think about RP in some respect though Loki. In drug deals theres always the threat of cop interference, therefore i wanna be fair to the cops by showing we are selling to people, its better than them not knowing at all. Same goes when we 'import' the drugs we always wanna give the cops some kinda notification were doing this, i like the idea of threat being involved though  :lol:

BusinessUpdate

It was a good day for business. As soon as took 500g of cocaine from the garage and put it into the gang car we got a buyer. It turned out he was a cop, so i knocked him back. Then a balla by the name of Andre came along and wanted to buy. We went to the carpark in los florres along with the assistance of two [LCV] members for protection. The deal was just about to begin when about 5 police cars entered the carpark, so i threw the cocaine in the car and we all managed to get out untouched.

We ended up completing the deal in a strip club in the desert. We fooled the FBI by giving them the wrong location. iI gave Andre the 500g from the car upon recieving payment of 10k. We then went back to the marina to complete the deal by giving him another 500g from the garage. Then it got pear shaped. The cops found out what was going on so we went onto verona beach to sail away on the boats. Andre loaded his drugs on the boat, and i decided to stay here. I was sent to jail and experienced some police brutality for which i am going to get a lawyer. We then went back to the marina to check our finances.

Nice, you can RP selling your own drugs. The reason i keep business updates is because it allows the player a good chance to sell the drugs again. People will tend to go for the drugs with the high RP background such as imported by us and will buy off you, instead a buying off people who magically make drugs appear. I sold 100g for 1k to a Grove Street member today narrowly avoiding the cops. I had to drive to secret location to perform deal, although the police were closing in. I fast talked my way out of trouble and made it. An undercover cop tried to buy off me, i tapped him down for wires at the start but he said he was gonna drive to the police station. I whipped out the shotgun and killed him, for which i was sent to jail. Overall, trade was low today, but i still managed to pull off one deal.

Simple, when im loading the drugs into the car you can see my actions on main chat. You can either phone me or PM me saying you want a deal, or i can place an ad etc. The deal being played out is simple. I get a gang car, then ill do actions like 'cut' the drugs into the required amount, making sure we dont have a cop tail obviously, and ill hand them over in exchange for money. If it is a new buyer ill pat them down for any wires to see if they are an undercover cop, happened yesterday, that cops 6ft under with a shotgun blast to the head. also, we will go to an area where it will take the cops sometime to reach us like say, an underground carpark or or top of a roof. If i see cops on the radar approaching its obviously a sting so we will flee the scene. Its also better to carry a weapon just in case it goes wrong.

Worst business day do far. I lost 400g. 400g was lost from a car which went missing. People are beginning to attack because of drugs, but i survive. Hopefully we can get better business tommorow

It was ok day so far..i sold 100g for 1k to a member of DoA, but the deal location had to be moved because there was a police officer watching it happen from the roof across the carpark. We changed location to another underground carpark after avoiding a police helicopter. I may get other deal later today..

It has come to my attention that various gangs have decided to use the marina for importing the drugs. Fine by me i guess, but what i dont like is when the cops point the finger at me because of these actions. Because of this, i may decide to charge people in forms of money or drug quantities for the usage of the marina, depending on the amounts they are shipping in. It was the best day for business so far. I sold 3.5 keys which is about 1 and a half blocks for a total of $35,000, to an ALS member called [ALS]Loki. I received a phone call from him wanting to deal, and when he told me the amount he wanted i realised i needed more time and manpower. I assembled a few LCV guys and i got myself an AK47 in case the deal got pear shaped. There was a minor fuck up.
I told him to go to the multi-storey car park in Los Florres along with a few bodyguards. When we arrived it turned out a person not involved in the deal carjacked the buyers car. This person was in the same gang as my guards, so therfore it seemed like a setup. Shots were fired between about 5 people during which the buyer fleed behind a building opposite the street. During the confusion i brought out my AK47 and injured a few people shooting in my direction.

When the dust settled, i told the buyer to get in my car and we sped away from the scene before the cops arrived. We agreed to do the deal at another place. This place was the pier near the marina. When [ALS]Loki arrived, i agreed to let him test the cocaine before purchasing, so i took a half block out of the car and let him test it. During this, a SAPD helicopter arrived, so we all sped away. Yet again this fucked the deal up. In this confusion i forgot to retrieve the half block that i cut abit off for [ALS]Loki to test, so i drove back, picked the half block up, and threw it in the car. I told [ALS]Lokis driver to follow me and we drove into the countryside. The helicopter had to back off because it was exiting the LS boundaries. Due to the quantity of the drugs involved in the deal i decided to give [ALS]Loki the car so i gave him the car keys and we all went our seperate ways. I phoned him and told him to test the drugs out back at his place. He did and said it was good stuff.

He phoned me later saying he put the drugs in a safe house and got rid of the car in a river, so the FBI and DEA cant check it for fingerprints. I arranged a meeting at the Marina for the payment which he gave me later to seal the deal.

Yet again, we managed to survive another day, even though the risk of police stings seem to be increasing...

It was an ok day. Me and fellow [EsC] member Andre went off to a bad start as the cops seached our car and found 500g in it. They went to arrest us but we retaliated resulting in Andre and myself taking a few cops out. Then [ALS]Immo called us. It took awhile to make arrangements but finally the deal happened and with the help of a few hired guards the deal went under way. There was a successful transaction of 500g for $5000 but then we fleed the scene quickly in case the cops came. Attached is a picture of the transaction

At the first dealing attempt, we were selling "juice" to cops, when smartest one of them cuffed me.
In the car Decy helped me out of cuffs, i grabbed AK47 under the seat and  :war: :cop:
Finally cop Mitchell_Bouwman killed me with, hmm 6 shots [hmm, really my bad]
At the carpark, we had unwanted visitor, who we "dumped". We had to flee the scene before Cops and CSI arrived.

Basically, lost 500g in the car explosion, sold 500g to [ALS]Immo for 5000 + some tip.

I support what Andre (who passed trial period congratulations) has said, but after this incident when going back to Marina the local LSPD force chased us presumably for this drug deal. They saw us coming back to base after the deal in our little blue admiral and BAM! lets chase them! One flaw though, MAJOR flaw, they were arresting us for drug dealing i think, but oh wait.. they shot and blew up the car with the 210grams of cocaine in it! So they effectively ruined any chance of evidence obtained from this drug deal, hard luck guys lol

Cocaine levels low, importing of approximately 20 kilos of cocaine will commence soon. Rules:Transporting in blocks (2kg a block) if a car with a block blows up, that block is lost. If the police raid all blocks on shore off the boat will be lost. If the boat during the raid has disappeared after the raid all blocks are lost. If the boat is still at location the blocks present on the boat can still be obtained. If a block was placed in a locked garage that block will remain after the raid

Time for an import. Me and Andre got ready and met at SF airport along with a few helpers: Mitchell_Bouwman, [ALS]Jcstodds and [ALS]Wdoyle. We then went to marina in 2 gang admirals. When we arrived we setup the loading points at the docks with the cars, although we had a problem with a citizen on an NRG who wouldnt go away. I then went and got the boat. I sailed out and switched boats, i then came back to shore and noticed we have 3 gang admirals ready for the import, however the same citizen we had problems earlier with was there. We were halfway loading the cars, 4 blocks in my car (2 in trunk 2 back seats), 2 blocks in the trunks of the other two cars. Then a cop came and cuased problems, giving a ticket to someone meaning we had to lock that car. Then the cavalry arrived, LSPD along with the FBI. Who called them? I have two people in miind to who did it including the annoying citizen and they will regret what they did soon. We managed to flee but as i was getting chased through the countryside at night (i could hardly see road) the cops blew up my car. Yep, blew up the evidence, thats 4 blocks gone. When i came out of hospital, as usual, the FBI and cops didnt check and retreive the cars and the boat. We managed to bring one car back to marina and also retrieved the drugs from the boat. The 4 blocks are in the garage. The FBI also caused me problems, but i will not talk about this as it is a business update.

First one:
We set meeting place, which is beach, then a clown comes, shouts "drugs are bad" and tries to kill us...

Second one:
He gets in my car. I get suspicious, because he is a cop. We make it to the near of Pirate ship in LV and make the deal.

Yes, you are. But be careful at first, dont take out much. I mean if you got a caller for 200g deal, dont take out 500g, just cut the block to 200g and take it to car, so another 300g wont be lost, if you lose your car. Also always check the map at the spot that you are going to have a deal, if there are any cops/fbi in near, set up another place for deal, if the cops/fbi follow, dont accept the deal...

Me and Chill got 200g from the ______ and went out to deal, We both went down the road to the Ammunition to get some Shotgun Shells to make a Deal incase things hotted up, at first things went smooth, there was a party at Jizzy's and we though that would be an ideal place for customers, so cut the 200g in 100g each as we both went our seperate ways inside the club, We met up with Indo_Corleone and Carhartt_Corleone and we went to do the Deal on thr Roof of Jizzy's, As we were about to pull of the deal Indo_Corleone pulled a shotgun on us, ad Carhartt_Corleone pulled a Silenced 9mm onto Me and Chill, we both put our hands up and waited for a few moments, then we both pulled out our shotguns and we started taking cover and shooting, Chill shot Indo_Corleone dead on the floor as he was the main threat with the Shotgun, Carhartt_Corleone shooting at us with Silenced 9mm staright through my leg, We managed to run to the car outside with Carhartt_Corleone still shooting at us for the Drugs, We managed to escape and Brought the Drugs back the Drug house.

I didn't know that the drugs are in the secret hideout. I thaught the drugs are in the car. So i followed them with a NRG and killed the dealers at Dillmore with a tec9.
The car blew up and i thaught i have the drugs now but they are in the secret hideout ... I will rob this place  ;)

BusinessUpdate Anto_Duffy's Shipment

I was evadnig cops when suddenly i get a phone call, i picked up call and it was Anto_Duffy saying He's landed in Las Venturas in his Rustler and wants a shipment of 1550g = 1.5kg which is $15,500, So i agreed with this Deal, also thinking it might be a Setup. So i went to the EsC Drug Store and got 6 blocks stuffed 1 down my pants, 1 in my shirt, and 1 under seat of the NRG Bike, i used NRG as i could have a quick Getaway as i would not want to lose 3 Blocks of Cocaine. So i hurried up to Las Venturas Airport where i met with Anto adn we were talking about how to do this Deal, we came to a conclusion that we would do it in halfes, So i cut the blocks and i told him to give me the money before we started the deal, He gave  me the money ($7750) and i passed 775g of Yayo Cocaine to Anto, He loaded i in his Airplane, Then He gave me the money again, and i gave him the other 775g that was left, He loaded them in his plane too, Then we shook hands as the del was at most Perfect, He took off in his plane for Further Shipments, Deal went smooth, no cops/DEA on site at all

Now it seems that we are popular and get many clients, more people would like to join us. First, we have to make the rules for joining more stricter. Martenest, hmm, when Decy has decided, i will test you anyways, the point iscan you join or not. Anto, i think that you are good RP, a ELITE RolePlayer, so good luck with getting to join... We are small, but professional. Well, we can recruit, but i think it wouldn't be the best to make it like DoA or GVU. We want quality RP'ers. We need to make a backround check first... About the new guys, who think we are like a gang from GF, where drugging is scripted, No, we arent, thats why we RP.

Ok, im back from my holiday! :D. But school starts today though.. I'll not be that active that i was when it was no school, but ill try to keep up the work with EsC as good i can.

We've done a good work i see, 100k is not bad. Um, anyway.
 U guys talked about weed buisiness, maybe we wont sell it in EsC then. :). But I'll still sell weed, for personal economy. Maybe even heroin which i found.

Ok, i know u guys will hate me, but this is the best. I feel really lame now, but this is it. I learned a LOT of RP from EsC, and ill do that on my own. Now when i saw LCV reformed, i thought ill cruise with them. But im not sure if i wanna join them yet, they made me grow, they made me happy.
 Another reason i leave is because of the inactivity. Andre, Harrison, are kinda unactive the time i actually play.

And, [EsC] is NOT inactive from any corner of it, i had a week vacation, after what, i came back and saw a warning letter in my mail:
"Internet connectivity has been taken down due to problems in paying" blablabla, so i paid it.

Sunday - they wasnt working
Monday - A big party in my country, it is something to do with something in 1991 about independence. I am back online and more than ever.

When you join [EsC], you:

1) Must have to be on trial period.
On any failure in that, you will be kicked.
Gang leader and co-leader also have right to promote you from trial to regular member.
2) Must respect [EsC] everywhere in the State of Argonath.
On any failure - a private detective will be hired
and everything will be sniffed out. You will be kicked, if it seems, that you don't respect us.
3) Must respect the tag. Is it [EsC] or [EsCt], doesn't matter.
If you are flaming, impersonating, you will be kicked from the gang
4) The turf is the most important to us, but notify to yourself - there are no "Owners" of the turf,
so you basically can't walk around and say "We OWN Marina", because we don't. We Rule the Marina
5) No fights with other (gangs) are allowed. If others are attacking our turf, we are allowed to protect it,
but we have no right to go back on their territory and blast them out. We are a peaceful gang

If you are doing anything wrong, you will be notified. If this continued, you will be set on trial period again.

Seems, that member of [VLA], [VLAr]Killa claims that he owns our turf. They are claiming that Marina is their territory. As a Consigliere of [EsC] i am now going to take this problem in legal ways. :)

i advertised for to sell drugs for EsC, (i didnt advertise properly, maybe u guys can teach me that) then i got a call from a wanted suspect who was getting chased by the cops, he said that he was getting chased and i said no u cant bring the fuzz onto our turf-they might find they drugs and stuff. so when he lost the cops he got i contact with me again and i was to meet him on LS beach, when i arrived on the scene, with my trademark yellow EsC car, the cops were chasing him in the water, my goodwill took over and i offered him into my car, i managed to lose the fuzz but my car flipped and so we were left in the arsehole of nowhere with just the remaining drugs strapped to the inside of my trousers (safe-keeping), i had no choice to do the deal quickly as i knew form the radar, that more cops were on their way from LSPD. so the customer give me $5000, that i have on screenshot, and then another $2808, i rounded the drugs off to 7.8kg and gave them to him. after i had give him the drugs, they are nothing to do with me! so i ran back into our turf leaving the man there while he ran in the other direction.

 :ps: this is only my first deal of many so keep an open mind that it might look shit but its my first drug deal-EVER!

This is EsCs last clan update. It is disbanding today, i am taking my stuff and goin back to Tony Montana in Liberty City.
When i made this clan, i had a goal. The goal was to make drug dealing a main part of the server, and to make it 'official'. I believe this has been met. Other gangs have copied my ideas without permission but hey, as long as the drug dealing is official i dont mind, although you can understand i am pissed off abit. As for all the EsC members, past and present, thank you for your support, you were part of the team that changed the way people drug deal in Argonath. As i change my name back to without the tags, i want you to remember this clan as one who revolutionised drug deals, the one who drove the yellow cars, the one who RPed even against the attacks of DM clans who tried to tar the reputation. This will be the last time i lead a clan, i have lead too many things in the past, [AV], DPD, and now [EsC]. For all these clans i didnt leave in disgrace, i left with dignity, so before EsC fucks up because of DM clans, i will disband it, with my head held high. Thank you for reading and thanks for your support in the past, also a big thank you to the players we dealt with in the past, may you deal on still.

Hopefully people can learn something from this clan, and copy the stuff we did, like driving about in gang cars etc..
