AC3 is a extension of AC2, where you play as Ezio de Alditore.

Correction, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood is NOT Assassins Creed 3.

It's a spin-off to Assassins Creed 2, Assassins Creed 3 will not be out for a while after Brotherhood I assume.
