Title: Standing down as community leader.
Post by: Frank_Hawk on August 22, 2010, 07:05:52 pm
During my time as community leader in SAMP, I've had the opportunity to see the great breath of experience, expertise and commitment that our community as a whole generates. Since appointment, I have been focussed towards instilling my values and those of Argonath into others in aim of betterment across the community. I have enjoyed my experience tremendously and commend the leadership team for their work to date and the foundations in place for future progression.

As per mutual agreement and reduced activity in Argonath, I have decided to step down as community leader. This decision has not been an easy one and felt it coming for quite some time in line with growing commitments and uncertainty in life. Whilst I had a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community at a high level, I sincerely missed RPing to my full capability and hope to resurrect these skills in time.

Thank you for supporting me as community leader in Argonath in the past couple of months and wish the very best of luck to the admin team, leadership team and most importantly our players.

Didn't see this one coming.

It's your decision and we can't force you to do anything, thanks for helping the community as a community leader, Frank. Also, good luck with re-discovering your full RP skills.

Sad to see you leaving the position, Frank. You did extremely well, and I believe I speak for everyone that you did very well. The fact that you managed to keep roleplaying together with your group and continue the work as an administrator is just amazing.

Let's hope someone that is capable to do as you did will replace you, but I am very sure nobody is able to replace you and your duties.

But on the good side, I'm looking forward to roleplay with you again, without you having issues reading the spammed chat

Nobody can force you to stay, so the choice depends on you.

It's a good choice you made Frank, do what you love and like. I would rather see you moving around at GS9, talking to people, having fun, instead of giving out $9999 paydays, causing spam on the main chat.

I want to thank Frank for his outstanding work in bringing various things to the attention of the community, and his efforts as community leader. The current step down is one that may be only temporary while he gathers more experience and time.
I look forward to continue working with Frank in various fields, and count on his contributions, which I hope will continue within the time and efforts he can afford to devote to Argonath.

Didn't saw this coming..

Frank, - I wish you all the best and thank you for this fine piece of leadership, which has driven Argonath and her servers to success, - although you've been a C.M for eight months you did something good, and you can be proud of what you've done for the community. Good luck in your future endeavours and i'd hope to see you return in the near future. Untill then, you'll be missed.

I am also opened to suggestions about server and its community help...

Not one person in this community could take Frank's position and do it with the same amount of... Of... Gusto.... I say just have the Administration members step up to the plate and try to help out more... or you could always ... nah that's all you can do.

Even just as Admins / Moderators the amount of time you have decreases alot. And just as Jimmy said, it will be hard to replace Frank.

I'm just going to say what's on most minds:

NO MORE 9999 PAYDAYS NOOOOOOOOOO

You were a great community leader Frank, you had been a regular for quite a while when you were appointed to your position so you understood the basic struggles of the riff-raff or Argonath. I hope we can have a nice, enjoyable roleplay sometime, haven't really been able to truly roleplay with Inferno 9 since I became a full-time cop.

I've always regarded you as a community leader due to your innate ability to gather a huge amount of people to cause shit around town. I can honestly say that you're the most respected community member. It didn't come as a suprise to me when you were officially granted your status, nor does it come as a suprise to see you step down.

I have to agree with this. To me, I rarely (if ever) saw you before I saw the announcement that you had become Community Leader - it shocked me, as here was a guy I barely knew getting a top job and I had no idea how....
However, I quickly found out how. Your dedication, ethics and ability to communicate your ideas clearly combined with your amazing ability to listen to others and give legitimate advice that really works well make you an extraordinary person that I will not forgot; your help perhaps saved me my job IRL so for that I thank you, for giving me the opportunity to prove myself with Admin again I thank you, and for trusting me to go forth and be the best I can, while understanding my passion for freedom and my occasionally not-liked views, I thank you...
See you 'round man.
