I'm sure that most of you noticed my recent 2.8 month inactivity that I didn't announce. Well you see, it's a long story. Just to make it short, here we go.
It all started about few hours after I last left argo. I was in the shower, then I heard my mom started fussing for me. I finished up, got dressed and rushed to her, when I found out that Mom was fussing for me that I put a virus on my laptop when my Dad told her that. I talked to dad, and immidently found out what caused the virus, my dad DL'd a free virus scan program, it gave him a big number of viruses and "bad stuff" found, and he clicked "BUY SOFTWARE". I learned this last school year, that those are big scams and places viruses on your computer. Now, mom's screwed. As in she's a Pre-K teacher, and has been forced to 5th grade....which she knows nothing about....thanks to Obama's "Raise to the top" program. We have 3 computers: Desktop in my room has a virus, thanks to Dad. Desktop in office, it takes 45+ minutes to boot up due to its age. And my laptop.
A few days later, one day before the offical start of school in Campbell County, Tennessee, I was in my truck driving to my GF's house to get my laptop fixed (yes, I did have backups) because her dad owns a computer repair business in my county. This is why you need to have multiple backups: Portable hard drive with backup and my laptop with me, I get rear-ended in traffic, once I'm calling 911 this guy who hit me, has an AK-47 out, and carjacks me. I'm thankful that I still have my life and my phone. I call 911, tell them what happened, gave full description of my truck, and called my parents. Dad owns the truck. Well, I soon find out that the guy that jacked me, ended up finishing robbing the bank I was infront of when this occured. His car was a 2006 Malibu, Mine was a 2003 Ford F-150. Of course karma's a beach, if you know what I mean, and the guy ends up failing when trying to beat a rail maintance vehicle at a crossing, he K.O.'d for a few hours, then he ends up waking in a hospital bed with T.B.I. all around his ass. Laptop's busted, so is the backup, and that's why I have more than one backup. :)
Well now, busy at school, AP Calculus, Spanish II, Physics (school system doesn't have AP Physics even though we're within 10 miles of Oak Ridge, TN a.k.a. "The Lost City of Tennessee during 1930s to 1950"), AP US History, Level 3 Technological Issues, and Dual-Credit English. Well now, I got my new laptop, everything is restored, Dad is banned from my own laptop, and that guy who carjacked me and robbed that bank is on Death Row.

I'm sorry to do this, but I have Very Sad news.
Please note: I [/i]might[/i] be on this weekend, As anyone living in the U.S.A. knows, Hurricane Earl is a Cat. 4, borderline 5. My hometown is Virginia Beach, Virginia. About half of the hurricane, not the eye, is going to slam into the city. Mandatory evac is being done in the city and the rest of Hampton Roads, That's about 6 million being evac'd, about 1.2 million live in VA Beach alone. Sometimes it helps to have 4 naval bases and a naval air base in your city. The storm is going to hit the city at Midnight tonight - 2:00 am Friday U.S. Eastern Time. I'm praying to God that the city doesn't become a Katrina.
As you can see, this is very personal to me. I'm 17, and I lived there for 15 years. I'm sure that anyone has gone through this. If it causes massive damage, I'm going to go down there to help with volunteer work with my church. (if they do it) And if most of the city is badly damaged/destroyed, you won't be seeing me for a while. I'll be in tears, my Physics teacher knows how I feel about this, she survived Katrina in the Lower 9th Ward.

Well, first of all, a PC doesn't boot 45 minutes under any circumstances, max 10 minutes. so geuss thats not really true?
Second, i wish i could walk over to your house and fix these PC problems you have, but meh. I would really love to help you if you have any questions about computers, you could PM me if you're interested :) .
Second, did that story about the carjacker / bankrobber ak 47 guy really happen or was it just an example of what could happen to your back up or laptop self. I certainly hope it was an example, must've been an awfull experience if it really happened. Hope you're not hurt, man..

UPDATE: Hurricane Earl, miniscule parts of it starting to hit VA Beach. Winds: typical T-storm. The mass-exodus is finishing up. Hurricane targets's have loose or no foundation, (ex. TP's(trailer parks), RVs, etc...)

Well said, i remember Matthew. That sucks, i know how crazy the south can get sometimes, especially if you ever stroll through West Virginia. Welcome back dude, good luck with the Hurricane, i live in New York but luckily im 4 hours from the Coast so i won't really get anything ;)
