Title: Monstertruck
Post by: [NP]Monte Montague on September 14, 2010, 09:49:31 pm
I see to many of them being used to ram people and inevitably causing death and destruction -.-.

Personally I think it's a vehicle we can do without.

What are your thoughts

Pool was unnecessary, but I support the cause.
Monster truck is not necessary.

Pool was unnecessary

Lets remember this is not a vote-in Democracy. If President(s) feel necessary, they will remove it.

I don't think it should be removed, but a AUTOMATIC ban for anyone who has common knowledge (as in, new players still only warned/kicked) to not use them improperly, and continues to.

Why make everyone suffer the consequences because only the minority abuse their capabilities?

If it's a new player ramming, just try to tell him to stop. If he refuses, call an admin to help out using /report.

If it's a regular player doing it, then once again, use /report.

Another point I would like to make is, is there really that much difference between a monster truck ramming someone and a smaller car ramming? Sure, a monster truck looks much scarier, but the latter will still deal the damage anyway. If you remove the monster trucks, then the abusing players will simply use the smaller car to ram instead, making no difference to the situation.

I actually see well known rule-abiding players not ramming with normal cars/trucks, but choose to run over anything that's in their way while they're in a monster truck. Just yesterday, I was being pulled over when out of the blue, ANONYMOUS (name censored) comes rolling in with the monster truck, ramming over the cop car and landing on me.

Big ass wheels don't give you right of way.

Have some damn sense of humor!! Monsters are funny machines! :war:
You can have so much fun out in the woods, climbing any damn mountain there is.

Although monster trucks can get annoying when youre trying to drive around happily and someone drives over your car, messing it up or even flipping it but in all truth you cant say we should remove them just because you dont like how some people behave with them, that is nearly the same as saying remove PD cars because some cops ram you when youre a suspect or just speeding around.

If someone rams you with their monster, dont go and start flaming then, either it was an accident or they did it on purpose and if it was, then report them to administration to deal with it.  ;) Besides $100 to repair a car isnt exactly going to make you broke.

Would changing the spawn point of the monstertruck(s) to a place in the middle of the countryside/desert or anywhere else with the right terrain for it be a good solution too?

place it in trailer parks (like single player)

or out of the way places like the top of mt chiliad, and that big hill in tierra robada with the ramp thing
