It's not really an idea.. But it sure is annoying as hell.
Everytime I close the tab, it seems like I have logged out even if i've selected 'stay logged in forever'. It's not my computer or my browser since I tried it with FF, IE and GC plus the same happened when I tried to access the forums from my dad's computer.. I can't even click links in other topics directing to a different topic, it just logs me out and sends me back to the ''first page'' of the forums.
Could you please check what's causing this? I have the same issue on the ARPD forums but nothing seems to be bugged on the FBI forums..

It has never done this to me, I'm always signed in.

There seem to be a various different login bugs every now and then.
I had a problem with logging into the ARPD site, not too long ago. Gandalf gave me an alternate link to try, as apparently Joomla seems to be problematic.

More of a Help Section than an idea but I do have an Idea For You!
This kind of bug is due to the browser you are using. It has some setting ticked or configured so that it does not save any personal information! No doubt this would happen if you tried webmail or another website that needed you to login.
The Answer?
Well If you are experience an annoyance with this I would suggest you turn the setting off, IF you can find it. Make sure that it is okay with other members of the family if they also use the same computer! I know my parents wouldn't be too happy if they had put that setting on and then I took it off, so remember Look Before You Leap!
If A member of your family is using the same computer, then you could as an alternative use another browser such as Google Chrome that is already mentioned. That is a sure sign way removing the issue as it will not have the option selected to remember log in information on tabs. I know that google mail often does this as a form of protection, so as a third rule if none of these options work for you, it could be the way that the site is designed but just remember to keep trying until an option works for you !
