Okay, so I said let's go visit IV-MP for once, however I've got issues running IV-MP.
I've got a legal GTA IV install, I got both official CDs and rest... I've installed GTA IV like a month ago, I patched it to the last.. 107 or whatever it is... and still I can't get IV-MP to run...
I can play regular on the MP and single player, with no lag :D (yea finally after getting another GB of Ram, Lag is now gone ;D )
I see the task "LaunchGTAIV" on task manager running each time i run IV-MP, but it just won't come up.. any help? :(

Are you sure you have the newest patch? There is 1.0.7.0 (the one you should have) and 1.0.0.7 (the one that you should NOT have)!
Newest patch download! (http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/GTA_IV_Patch_1070;114377)
I hope this helps. Other than that, I don't know. Make sure you run LaunchIVMP.exe and not LaunchGTAIV.exe. Also, when running on Windows 7, try running as Administrator..

Yea, I have that one 1.0.7.0, And I use XP for GTA IV (SP3 ofc)

No error? I recall having the same problem, I managed to get it working with some downloaded files. Just can't remember which... :(

I have had that problem aswell, and I am currently running Windows 7, have you tried removing ALL GTA IV and IVMP related files, then reinstalling?
Also, When you installed GTA IV, Did you install the 1.0.7.0 Update First, then the IVMP T4 R3 patch after updating?
I found the problem now when I just reinstalled, the file which you need is xliveless, this somehow disables the whole windows live story, enabling IVMP to work, Download it here (http://www.mediafire.com/file/vren1sndsw0wpub/xliveless-0.999b7.rar), and follow the instructions for installation.
I hope you find this helpfull.

Lol.. I have xliveless and that's for ENB to work, however I need to re-install the game, or someone give me the default vehicles.img ... since I installed a fully-mod pack and it fucked the game... too much lag.
But I'll try launching it now that I've got xlive less.. thanks MB

Hi The Rock,
First Off I would suggest you reinstall, its possible that an installation file has gotten damaged. After that, see if you can play normal GTA 4 without any problems, without installing anything else such as IVMP or 1.0.7.0 Patch Update.
If everything works, then upgrade to 1.0.7.0 And try the normal single player again. Bear in mind that the update does apply a lot of updates, but so far me myself have not had much of an issue with it.
If you manage to play single player, then try to install the Beta of IVMP downloadable at their website. I also have Windows 7 and I do not find a problem with it, so hopefully following the steps should help.

Ok, I gave it a shot just now, and What I get is an error pop-up with the name of "Paul" saying "An invalid argument was encountered.".. Maybe will re-install this week, if I have time, idk.

Hi Rock,
If that is an IVMP error about Access_Violation, I also get this message. The bypass is to keep trying to load ivmp. After about 8 tries you get in no trouble.

Hmm, I'm re-installing it at the moment.
Was just testing it with my damaged vehicles.img... And I did hit 90 FPS on Maxed.. at 1680 x 1050... :D just changed graphics card :P
Sapphire HD4670 1GB GDDR3 to XFX Radeon HD4870 512MB GDDR5, Damn amazing card... big change even for a small card change :P

So did you get it to work? I have the same paul error and I don't know what to do.
