Very good tutorial on having live call ins!
-
yeahhhhh it's epic but haven't tried it yet.
I saw a tutorial of it on Youtube month ago :)
-
I'll keep it in mind, thanks. :)
-
lol, I might use this for iRadio, we were going to buy a switchboard and use a proper phone line, but it was costly.
Thanks for sharing it :)

Virtual Audio Cable is a fantastic program, I've managed to get it working on here and was messing around with it a bit a few weeks ago. I Thought it wouldn't be possible to do such things on my laptop since it doesn't have the "stereo/mono out" or "what you hear" sound outputs, but Virtual Audio Cable can do the same thing and much more. I recommend for Argonath DJs ;)

I've recently tried it my self and it didnt quite work , will try again when im not on air :P
-
It can take a while to set it up, and to understand how it works. If you still need help, I'll be happy to help you when I get time (which won't be often since I got exams this/next week).
-
Well im ganna try set it up now, I got 2 exams next week to >.<

Argh , It's not working still , i've done it all the correct way , I've even tested by calling a pizza company :P Basicly Skype is going through SAM but my voice is not so people cannot hear my voice on sam or on skype.....
Could you help Hess?

You also need to send your microphone to whichever line you have going into SAM (using audio repeater).
So if your SAM Broadcaster input is Line 1, you also need to have an Audio Repeater with Wave in: Microphone and Wave out: Line 1.
So you should have:
Skype (output) -> Line 1
Microphone (output) -> Line 1
Line 1 -> SAM Broadcaster (input)
If that makes sense. If not, I'll PM you my MSN.
-
Nice tut, storm.. May become usefull if the app's will be open again and if i get accepted haha.
-
Alright, I got everything set up and ready to use :D :D :D :D :D

I guess I'm the first DJ with DJ Cuteboi (Emre) that used Skype with Sam Broadcaster
I was on-air using SAM, VAC and Skype.. I called Emre and the listeners told me that they heard Emre too, so that's kinda cool. This was just the first test, maybe I will try this shit again tonight when I'm doing my show ;)
-
Janek used Skype in SAM for about 2weeks ago, to let listeners call him and tell the requested song
-
Done a few test with this before for like live callers and stuff.
Might make this a regular thing for my show :)
-
I've also suggested this to Neg :
We do a Conversation at Skype ( Skype can do convos with about 25 members ) with an amount of DJs , like doing a show, interviews ... etc. etc. :)
Btw,i loved the skype thingy <3
-
alright, I finally got it 100% working!
No more problems, works great!

How exactly did you get yours working ?

How exactly did you get yours working ?
For real, can't explain! I even had to edit some setting myselfs, costed me 30 minutes before I had it all working good!
BUT AT LAST :D
you've missed the greatest show ever btw

Nice. More possibilities for Argonath Radio
-
: I've done this stuff before on Argo Radio. Once was prank calling Echo Test services (fail), and the other was Boozman and Pancake live on the air with randomness. I used two computers during those events. Open Skype on the computer not broadcasting and plug the audio out to the Line In of the broadcasting computer. Simply route SAM's AUX to Line In. Another method which is a bit 'crude' but will have similar sound quality is the Stereo Mix method. Enable Stereo Mix in Windows' sound options via Control Panel or right click on the Volume button on the task bar and click on Recording Devices. Right click on the blank space below the recording devices shown and click on 'Display disabled devices' and also on 'Display disconnected devices'. Here is where Windows 7 comes in handy. Click on your mic and go to the 'Listen' tab. Click on "Listen to this device' then mute it in Windows' volume mixer window. Set SAM to broadcast PipeLine. Create a MP3 with nothing but silence, and fix the Artist and Title details. Set them to Artist: Argonath Radio Title: Interview with (Name) or something similar. Set it to play on Tape Deck A and B in SAM. Now disable any music playing so you won't get feed back. Should be working. I might do a tutorial with pictures soon when I get my former broadcasting computer up and running with an Internet connection. I hate moving...
Update:
The Stereo Mix method will broadcast anything you hear via your headphones. This means live Ventrilo trolling can be broadcasted. Also, this means that Teamspeak is also broadcast-able. I did a show once on TS with Heat and others. It may time you out if your connection can't do SA:MP, TS, Ventrilo and/or Skype at the same time.
-
Yeah setting it up with Teamspeak is easy, I did a show about a week ago with people on TS (using VAC).
-
Could someone give me a step by step guide?
