Title: does the age means anything?
Post by: SunVice on November 05, 2010, 06:39:18 pm
I love people when they harassing a girl. I love people who are insulting a little kid, or a tenn age kid(Whose voice doesn't got deep yet). Why does it need to happen? Most people is so polite on Argonath Servers, so that's why I ask YOU:

Does the age or the gender means anything in video games?(NOTE: We are ignoring the ESRB and the PEGI Ratings right now.)

On Argonath - No. Can be seen reflected in the administrative team.

Its discrimination, Its cruel, people gender, weight, skin tone, accent does not affect who they are.

I think that gaming should not be looked up as a mainly male thing, its not, and argonath itself, it would be shit without its female players, and its international side makes it even more interesting.

No, it's foolish to say it doesn't affect who they are as that's what makes up their identity. What I think you tried to portray there is that it doesn't matter.

Experience.

Otherwise, there should be no age discrimination.

There are the children that have the mind of an adult. Then there are the children that are absolute fuckheads. 'Nuff said.

I would say age is not something matters, because everyone goes through the same process, but
experience most of the time is much brighter in Adults. Educated yound kids may be good in
there present age than future adults.  :D

"Age is but a number".  :D

I think in terms of Argonath, it should not matter whatsoever. It's an open community, which welcomes all types of people, no?

In most cases, age is a huge factor in online communities. People tend to take things a lot more personally when they're young and just laugh at things when they're old. People also tend to make a lot more mature decisions when they're over the age of 15, not to mention that it's a lot more pleasing to have a conversation with someone old and experienced rather than listen to the mindless babble of little kids acting tough, ESPECIALLY on TS/Ventrilo.

I can certainly vouch that young people make a lot of moronic decisions and say a lot of retarded things - bringing myself as an example. I can safely say that if I knew myself from 2-4 years ago I'd certainly be picking on myself.

gender, weight, skin tone, accent does not affect who they are.

In most cases, it does. Just take a look around in real life, you'll see people behaving differently. Very seldom you can see someone obese being sociable, nor are you able to easily find an ugly person who thinks highly of themself, for example.

I love people when they harassing a girl.

I love how men are constantly whiteknighting even though the girl can take care of herself. Ironically about 80% of feminist posts are done by males.

I think that gaming should not be looked up as a mainly male thing, its not,
Yes, it is.

and argonath itself, it would be shit without its female players,

All 4-5 of them?

Yes, age means something. Sometimes its just a number, but other times it means a lot. With bigger age, bigger responbility comes, more is awaited from you. But of course, mind of exact person could be different as number of age.  :)

People should grow up at their own rate and not at a rate others assign to them.

This includes admin duties.

In the past, I have been discriminated for my actions, not because of my age.
Even tho I am 12, It didn't effect my playing here.

True, but most of the time maturity comes with age. There are exceptions tho.

How comes, in every topic we say "violet" we end up discussing how we do not believe she is a girl.
So what she is a girl? No need to get crazy on that, lol....

Epic find, but this is Argonath RPG, not Argonath RPG Chan.

Let's keep it original.

Age is related to experience. Low aged means in the most cases low experience. I think age does mean anything.

When you are young, you are stupid. I know because i was stupid when i was younger. And don't claim that you weren't stupid when you were younger because yes you were. You'll say "lolol it was just you who was stupid we're all clever you see???" but, you'll just say it because you are young and stupid. I don't say stupid in an offensive way but like "can't understand everything and bad at thinking logically". And i know that I'll think that i was stupid at these ages when I am older.
Again, no offence, just the facts.

Hmm, yea maybe.

I guess it is quite closely associated with experience - age and experience seems to work quite hand in hand.

Naturally, the older you are the more experience you would have gained or is the norm, as you would have had the time to mature and gain that knowledge. Some have "more" experience than others in certain aspects due them being older - having had a longer time to learn and gain. But that said, some people learn and pick up things faster than others. People don't all necessarily mature at the same time/rate.

Yeah, Truth's right. Age does mean something, most times. I also think I was stupid when I was 12, and I'll probably think I was stupid at this age in 3 years.

Hi People,

What A Question!

Quick Answer = No

Reason

An age is just a number appointed to something. It does not say anything about a person, about what they are or what they have been through. Just because there are three people of the same age does not mean they are all the same. You gain experience with age, but age is not gained through experience!

Age is nothing, just a number, Its what you do with your time that counts!

Happy Gaming

DellStorm

Age most of the time determines how wise a person is.

That doesn't mean there aren't any exceptions. There can be low-aged wiseheads and 18+ dumbfucks.
