We have changed the location of our ad server, this should make the pages load faster.
Due to the new software, there may be other and new ads appearing.
Note that ads marked with "lead" means that Argonath will gain money if you register on the site.
Ads marked with "buy" mean we earn should you click on the link and buy a product there. Just clicking will not work.
All other ads visit if you are interested in what they offer.
Important note:
if at any time you see an ad that is inappropriate for Argonath, or that causes a popup or leads to a malware site, inform us at once, if possible with either a screenshot or a link where the ad leads.
We will block or remove any malicious ad.

I have noticed that the banners for groups are ourdated, and the size is not as we would like.
any group that is present for longer as 3 months can get a bannr, new format 468 x 60 pixels

Forum seems to be loading a bit faster, but definitely not in support of the talking ads. ("Click here for walmart giftcard!!!!") :poke:
Also, how can you determine between a "lead" ad and a "buy" ad, and where are the marks?

It's good you have changed the ad system
I got two viruses in one month that could not be removed until I formatted my computer.
Swapping my browser to opera fixed the problem

On the " lead" or " buy" ads you will see a mark on the right.
Regarding the talking ads, can you get me a screenshot of what the ad looks like ?

Nice the only problem I got is the advertisment from that woman lying in the water en that you can see the water move, this one makes me lag a lot.
All other ads don't.

Hmm... oddly enough, the forums for me has been quite slow in loading (even after log on from page to page).
May be just a one off, but unlike the normal.

Should be fixed today, but keep in mind that the forum is using alot of mods and off-site systems, so those have to load before the forum can as well.

I have noticed the forums are going Slower than before on one day, and super fast the next. Is this due to updates or unknown cause? Like the first this topic was announced It was going slow and eventually to where It wouldn't load at all, for the past 2 days though its going real fast and smooth.

Just an odd thing, perhaps indirectly related to forum changes...
Yesterday my forum title/profile title (Position) was set as "Hero" and oddly enough it has gone back to "Regular".
Thought that was pretty weird, haha.
Any ideas?

Yeah, we have been loading the latest upgrade, and fixed some things on server. Since that time the forum is running a bit faster.

It's fake and those things only spam your email with more fake advertisements that get you malware.
@Gandalf: Received the same talking Wal-Mart ad as Vince yesterday night.

I had that wal-mart advertisement while browsing on my phone. When I heard my phone speak I freaked out.

We are trying to block it, problem is that it is targeted at the US market, so we actually can not see which ad is causing the trouble..

I hate to say it, but use a U.S. proxy so you can somewhat track it down.
P.S. The Live For Speed ad still comes up, but when clicked it links to a hidden/deleted board/topic.

The first part is the location of the ad server we use.
The second one the company that produces the ad.
We have taken it out of the 468x60, if you get it on other places let me know.

Browsing on my Nokia Symbian phone is fine with the snow, it just hangs around the top :P

Well, snow makes my nokia 5800 laggy :x Little bit hard to read as sometimes it's impossible to navigate down@up due to lag. :) But it's seasonal, and I guess it will be over soon.

I'm fairly certain you should not be seeing any sexual-themed ads as that is not the aim of Argonath's ads to it's users. I'd get the info on that one and let Gandalf know.

Does Google count the ad's I see in Google Chrome Incognito mode?
In Incognito mode, it's exactly the same as normal. The only difference is that your history and temporary files aren't saved like they normally are. It's not a proxy by any means.
