Update to patch 1.0.7.0, set everything to low.
That's pretty much you can do - if I remember correctly.

I have the the older, AMD brother of your laptop (Clockin dat shit: Athlon x2 @2.6, M4850 ) and it runs just fine on medium.. on Vista.. cracked, without patches. You've picked the wrong platfrom. But, yeah, Icy's got the nail on the head there, patch that stuff up.

Hi Paide,
Just to add on to what others have said, you may find the problem goes if you turn shadows off. I have noticed that shadows are the worst for making the game feel laggy (best to find it on options)
Also do not forget to turn off Vsync and Quick Capture / Handbrake Cam (Game Options)
Happy Gaming!

Well.. Laptop is not the best for playing some newer games. There are special gaming Laptops wich are meant for gaming. But usually Laptop can't run GTA IV on normal/high graphics. So , you should buy a desktop computer. I bought a new Desktop computer like a month ago , I can run GTA IV on highest graphics so far. And as DellStorm told , lower your graphics.

I installed a graphics downgrader, patched to 1.0.4 because I read that it's especially for Windows 7.What does the 1.0.70 patch improve anyways? Anyways all my graphics are set the LOWEST and it's playable, but not good. :S Any other ideas? Also i'm using GameBooster when running it too.

Not really. If GTA IV requires a good computer , and you do not have a good computer enough to play it , then no. You're from Estonia aswell. I've seen cheap computers everywhere in Tallinn :P.
