Crysis 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, due for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in March 2011. It is the sequel to the 2007 video game Crysis and its parallel expansion game, Crysis Warhead. The story was written by authors Richard Morgan. and Peter Watts, who has also written a novel adaptation of the game. It will be the first game to showcase the CryEngine 3 game engine.
The world has been ravaged by a series of climatic disasters and society is on the verge of total breakdown. Now the aliens have returned, with a full invasion force bent on nothing less than the total annihilation of mankind, starting by trying to rip the heart out of Earth's most iconic city.
In New York, terrifying alien invaders stalk the streets and a nightmare plague strikes down the city's myriad inhabitants with brutal epidemic speed. The city's systems are in chaos, its streets and skyline are smashed and in flaming ruin. This is New York City like you've never seen it before.
Neither paramilitary law enforcement nor the might of the US military machine can stand against the invaders, and all who choose not to flee are dead men walking. Just to survive in this maelstrom of death will require technology beyond anything any modern soldier has ever seen.
One man will inherit that means to survive. One supersoldier, wielding the combat enhancement technology of the future with Nanosuit 2, will make the last stand to save humanity from destruction in the urban jungle that is New York City.

God my computer will probably fry when I try to run this, although apparently the graphics will be just as intense but; the draw distance is going to be decreased so it doesn't load as often. :D

And we still don't have the graphic card capabilities to run Crysis 1 (Maximum settings possible), and it's been 3 years!
Now, when this game comes out for PC, it'll be probably 3-5 years before we have computers powerful enough to run the game on maximum settings!

:o My Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 card can run Crysis with maxed out graphics with a nice smooth fps. Although when i put it to max resolution it always crashes, no idea why. (So i have to put up with it on second to top resolution :/ :lol: )

I actually can run Crysis 1 and Warhead on Maximun Settings :3, However i don't know about crysis 2, That will be really much i guess..

I could run Crysis Warhead on 3/4 graphics.. (Gamer? I think).. On last.. one.. I could only get 25-30FPS.. and It was not ejoyable as in Gamer (3/4) where I had 40-45 FPS. :) (1680X1500)

We do, though. Two 580s or 5870s eat it for breakfast at 60 fps. That's where the actual game is the limit.. so poorly coded :( I can only run it at around 60 odd stable on gamer at 1920x1200 and around 35 on extreme. :(

Crysis 2 Will feature 3D Gameplay, and according a note from the Developers James Cameron itself has seen the game and confirmed that the quality of the 3D Will be like his Movie, Avatar.

Hello, 6950 runs stable 60 fps on Ultra High on Crysis.

I'm not sure about PC's, but the multiplayer demo for XBOX 360 of Crysis 2 really sucked.
I really didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Crysis 1's multiplayer.

There's a multiplayer demo out on Steam, go check it out.
Imo it's a MW2 with Nanosuit and better graphics ;)

My Power Supply on my Graphics Card only just supplies it enough power I think
It may have been a coincidence, but when I was on Hawx 2 on FULL graphics, after about 40 minutes the Computer turned off.
I do not know though, may have been automatic updates :razz:
This would be the ultimate test xD

With this computer, I can run any game, Minimum and Recommended on www.canyourunit.com (http://www.canyourunit.com)
I can run Crysis 2 on full settings.
Overall, great game, will buy it as soon as It's out.

CYRI tells you if you are able to run it, not if you are able to "wipe the floor" with it.

Actually, you just got told you barely pass minimum. RAM is @ Minimum. However, I bet it'll run it.

Played it like 10 mins ago, already 10th level with 3rd Level Power, 2nd Level Stealth and 3rd level armor.
This game is pure ownage.

I 'got' it, and even with multiplayer working :D
The game looks so fking epic, running it on max res., normal settings.
Though my graphics card heats up to about 50-60degrees celcius, with fan on full speed.
Processor goes up to 50 degrees with 3000rpm on it(stock cooler)

My PC can run this game on highest settings but it a bit laggy on highest res and I only get about 18-20 FPS. Can anyone help me to boost/turbo (w/e it is) my processor or VGA for better FPS or do something else?
:ps: There are two fans for the processor and the VGA
