Title: SAMP unbans
Post by: MBSF on December 08, 2010, 07:04:24 am
The current system is a big joke. You should let either ONLY SA:MP admins or absolutely everyone respond. As it is now, any forum moderators and admins of any other server can post in unbans and its ridiculous. I see plenty of admins from other servers and forum mods responding there, giving their personal opinions or whatever, and i cant see why their opinion is more relevant than mine.

if everyone could post in Unban Request it will be like "Stay Banned, I dont like you" like it have been in the past, new system is good.

This was the reason it was retricted.
People kept posting so much utter bullshit in unban requests that it became unsanitary.

But people who have no relevance to the unban such as local moderators and other server administrators, still post useless shit.

Well perhaps they should be advised to not do that unless they have something relevant to add.

They would probably have to specifically put each of the server admins into blocks and give each block the relevant permissions.

Elaborate the topic's problem, and post correct evidence.

Actually I agree that opinions from non-server admins should not be present.
As the section has to be public, the only way to slve is for the person who sees an off-topic comment to report it, then it will be removed.

I liked the old system, I got excited when someone posted on my request :D

Letting EVERYONE post on unban requests reduces the chances of useless topics being made :devroll: Of course, I would not do it

An exceptional approach in my opinion would be having the following abilities for the administration team:

Ability to reply to topics in the SA:MP Unban Requests:

Ability to reply to topics in the VC:MP Unban Requests:

Ability to reply to topics in the IV:MP Unban Requests:

Ability to reply to topics in the MTA:SA Unban Requests:

Ability to reply to topics in the MTA:VC Unban Requests:

Ability to reply to topics in the SA:MP Stunt - Unban Requests:

Saying "Stay banned" or "I dont like you" will in my opinion ont affect the persons unban, but if the person who's banned didn't want these shitty comments they shouldn't get banned in the first place, supported.

As said, the problem it technical more than anything else. We try to keep the forum structure simple, to avoid that if we want to make a minor chage we must spend a day to check all groups.
This means that gorups have rights in boards that they can see. As unban requests are by nature obliged to be seen by all, to separate rights would mean a very complicated structure.

Besides that, as moderators can not ban them selves, they should not be able to post.
