I know that Ramming is NOT allowed. But i've heard that Ramming a suspect as Police is allowed. So once i was on duty and tried to ram a suspect, i got warned for it.
Today while i was suspected Mafs was after me, when i exited the car he Rammed me straight. for which my health decreased and i died.
Please BEFORE saying anything, I'm not moaning, i just want to know if it is really allowed for Police or not.
-
You can RAM a suspect to force him to stop, but you can NOT car kill him ;).
-
Ramming without any proper reason is not allowed.
Ramming a cop car/suspects' car while engaged in combat scenario is allowed.
-
When a suspect is on foot cops are allowed to stop them by using a vehicle. However they should not purposely use the vehicle to kill a suspect or repeat this to lower the health.
Ramming is intentionally hitting another player by a vehicle, with no other purpose as to damage them. This is why ramming is not allowed.

Ramming to low health is done all the time. You can ask one about it and he will say 'well he got up' but half the time its just as soon as his character stands from the LAST 5 Car bumps, he gets hit again

Isn't that hard for administration see which case is it?
In order to make administration's job easier, the "no ramming" rule should be applied for everyone.

I heard that the law enforcement is allowed to ram the suspect ONCE to stun them, none the less.

They do 1, 2, 3, 4 times.
When we report, they're already out of the car shooting us.

I understand your frustration.
Solution: A shit-load of Combat Shotgun. :skull:

I get carparked by cops and I am forced to /gu or I will die, just disallow ramming suspects on foot, srs.
Can criminals ram cops on foot to stop them from shooting and get away?

Combat shotgun sucks... Too overpowered, no fun.

As is ramming a person then shooting his HP off whilst he/she gets up. Hence the reason why I suggested a powerful weapon to eliminate the possibility of it happening in the first place.
Combat shotgun sucks
No any. :(

PIT maneuver - Precision Immobilization Technique
The PIT maneuver is a method by which one car pursuing/ramming another can force the pursued vehicle to turn sideways to the direction of travel, causing the driver to lose control and stop. Ussaly Unable to be used on SA:MP as of matter's of speed and lag.

You are joking right?
Swap precision with pathetic, that's more truthful.
How is this precise, going IN FRONT of the suspects car, because due to lag, that is where they are, and weaving left and right?
I am a Cadet, and that is how, in an unofficial training, I was taught.
I have seen cops AND criminals run each other over on purpose multiple times to lower health, then finishing with Deagle or combat, do not try to act the innocent either side...

It's a rule, "no carklling". Why does it needs an exception for cops?
Such as the driveby one...

Joe, I Suggest you read it again, I Never talked about 'Going in front of the car'. Also Read the end, And if you want me to, Ile get you a vid...

I see this has become a MOAN Topic which i don't want it to be, So it's now clear that Police can RAM a suspect while in Combat,
So i'm requesting to lock this topic for no Furthur moans
PLEASE LOCK THIS TOPIC.

Look, it's simple.
A cop is allowed to hit a suspect with his car so he would get stunned and can't keep running away. This part is NOT considered "ramming". This is allowed.
But if the cop reverses and keeps the suspect below the car (Hence doing the carparking trick), or does the pancake rolling technique (driving back and forth continously), these then means that the cop is hitting the suspect with the car with no more purpose than to deal damage to them. This becomes ramming. This is not allowed. If it does happen, simply use /report.
Feel that the admin punished you wrongly because it "should be allowed"? Try sending an email to [email protected].

I understanding you guys as i were part of Crime before :devroll: . But now when im officer and somone bunnyhope to cars on foot,i have good chance get him,so it's usefull stun one time to land . But as you state you were carkilled or somone do it 1-4 times it's allready rulebreak and should make som pics or movies, and report to administration. As the stun trick is werry usefull cause i use duty guns only to respect a suspect and give him a chance try to run away, but somtimes suspects have combats,m4 so here need stun be used to save your own and your fellow officers lifes. So no if it gona be removed the suspects will be too overpovered.

There lies the problem. A simple car bump turns into half your health gone in a matter of seconds. You can /report but by the time you have done it and an admin has begun to watch, your trying to run away or are dead or /gu'd.

wtf are you going on about
The PIT does not work on Argonath properly, so the Police lagram and call it PIT

Let me ram you on IVMP :)
Ramming someone at a certain speed on IVMP = Instant Death

This applies to most cases where rule-breaking happens in a matter of seconds, therefore after reporting, the admin can't see anything that could justify the report. As a result, it seems that admins disregard this kind of report because they know people are unable to prove what happened. I honestly think there should be a place other than the complaint mail for rather "minor" rule-breaking; this will encourage people to keep their Fraps open to record anything they consider breaking Argonath's rules. That way, I think, people who originally broke the rule when thinking they could get away with it after assuming admins punish rarely due to no proof - they get punished and most probably discontinue their rule-breaking, fearing there's another person with Fraps.
-
Like any possible creature on Earth would have that speed as an admin to react when he gets a report on this and nail the rule breaker.
Pushing a suspect/cop/civilian, ramming a suspect/cop/civilian or what ever you call it, should be forbidden imo.

Lagram = PIT
If you try to pit a suspect by just ramming him on where he is on your screen, you will be the one loosing vehicle health, while the suspect continues without damage, this applies to any server/game, so that is why you have to go infront of the car becasue that is where the driver really is

How about when suspect is in vehicle? Ramming isn't allowed then if you're a cop?

LAgram = Lagram. You can PIT on here also but you have to hit near the driver seat of the car or possible go infront, but it would be Lag ram if you go that far, not PIT.

..going INFRONT of the car is the PIT..
SAMP - Lag PIT #2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQEUOUnS-Jw#)

Jamal is correct.
A pit is achieved by ramming the front corner of your bumper into the person's right or left back tire. If achieved at the right speed and the right angle, minimal damage will be done to your vehicle (going too fast = the car will slam right into you - too slow = ineffective) and the person ahead of you will be spinning out. In SAMP, you have to accommodate for the lag by going a bit ahead of where you actually see them. While you may feel you are right next to the person, to them, you are actually right next to their rear tire. Slamming into them on your screen would result in a pit on their screen, but this is risky and likely to cause damage to your vehicle, as there is too much of your vehicle vulnerable to being whacked by the spinning car. Jamal's estimation to accommodate for the lag for pitting is accurate for "average laggers" (typically ping between 100-160). Though, to overcome the disadvantage of lag when it comes to pitting, one can cut in front of the person's vehicle on their screen with little to no damage while on the other person's screen, they will be receiving the hit of their life. This is basically a "backwards pit," as if done correctly, the corner of your REAR bumper hits the person's front right or left tire. Often, one can unintentionally mess up the pit by underestimating the lag and hit the side of the person's vehicle on their screen. This would knock them off course, but is easy to recover from as long as you are on decent terrain with decent tires.
SAMP users have simply renamed my dubbed "backwards pit" simply a "pit," because actual pits in SA:MP are near impossible to do and actually be called a pit.
