I just spent 2 hours on getting rid of snow outside, now it snows on my freaking screen -.-

It is an effect most of the sites use around Christmas and the new year, but it is rather annoying and useless. Anyways, if you want to hide them on Argonath forums, there's a tutorial that works on Firefox which takes very little effort:
First, get an extension called Stylish; you can download it from here (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108/). After you install it, an icon (letter S in a square) will appear on the bottom right part of your browser window. When you click on that icon, a menu will appear: select "Manage styles", and then "Write new style" on the bottom of the window. Give it a name - I named mine "Argonath forums" because I have some other styles for this site, but you can pick anything. Next, copy the following code and click "Save". Make sure the userstyle is activated after you create it.

Also, if you learn/know CSS, you could add styles for different sites and change them how you want.
