i notiecd 2 things in the server when i was active.
1. after smuggling jewels, and the smuggler dies, he still got the jewels. this need to be sort. this is abit like abuse of the scripts.
2. when some one is wanted, and the wanted one is leaving the server, after he is coming back, he is still wanted. that alsow i think, shuld be sort.
thing that can be add to the server:
a lock command for owned cars. for exemple: /c lock [id of the car] or /lock [id of the car].
the command can be a use for car owners.
how to use it: to lock, owners need to be in there veichle and write the command. when the owner is geting out of his car, the car automatli unlock's it's self.
why the command shuld be in use: to prevent any unwanted pepole to get in to the owners car.

a few things.
the idea of staying wanted when you log out, its on purpose, not some bug.
since you just suggested a lock car command, it means you didnt read any old threads.. its been suggested over 9000 times.
this is starting to get annoying.. "MAKE A LOCK CAR THINGY!!!" :poke:

I dont know, I wouldnt put car locks because i dont think theyres a point. This isnt San Andreas, in Vice City you get a different vibe, you know, you dont need locks

While I agree with the above posts, I think that having a car lock option would bring a few problems as well.
If such a system was to be added, it would have to work so that the car can only be locked when being driven (by the owner course), and the lock only prevents people from getting in to the car. Otherwise, say the car tipped or caught fire it would become a bit of a cage for people - trying to get out in time.
Plus, if cars were generally left locked it would eventually become incredibly hard to find cars that are free to be driven around and would become pretty restrictive. The idea that the general vehicles should be allowed to be used by everyone would be taken away.

The best use for car locks in 1.1 was to lock people in your car :]

Could the person you locked in unlock it again? If not, thats a violation of Point 6 of the Argonath Vision? Obviously unless both parties agreed to an RP :D
-
Point what of what? People locked people in their car to rob them, kill them in the sea or even rape them (Ask Dexter) No one really thought about violations or whatever
-
Yea... and half the time people locked others in their car, the car ended up tipping and killing everyone in it.
-
And now, the driver would just use /c getout and leave everyone else to die :D
I remember the good old kidnap scheme. Lure a cop into your car, /c lock, /c ad kidnapped a cop and demands a ransom!!

Forcing RP. If they have no way of getting out of the car, through actions uncontrolled by themselves, they are being forced to RP in a certain way. Thus talking about Point 6 of the Argonath Vision.

I bumped into something at VCMP forums.....
Locks are working now :)
So it has been added:
You can lock any car from inside if you are the driver.
You can also lock cars that you own from outside, but when you leave server...they automatically get unlocked.

If someone feels he/she is being forced to RP either talk with the person that locked him, report to an admin, /kill , /q or just accept it and play along, it can become interesting and funny.

-
