Due to an unfortunate turn of events, shortly after the release of 0.3c, we are having to re-release the SA-MP 0.3c client. Many of the custom models, like the stunting primitives, that were added to SA-MP 0.3c during the development phase have been removed.
This update is not mandatory but it should be considered high priority for server owners and people who are designing 'Game Modes' around 0.3c. The objects added to the initial release won't be suitable for use on most servers, since they're being phased out in this client update.
All of the other features added to 0.3c like: number plates, vehicle control, scripting functions, attached objects, particles etc. are all still part of 0.3c.
Extended explanation:
The person who contributed some of the new models, like the stunting objects in the SAMP.img, left the SA-MP beta team under ambiguous circumstances shortly after 0.3c was released. SA-MP doesn't have the time, or resources, to deal with people who contribute to the project without making their intentions or motivations clear. It has been decided that the best way to deal with this problem is to simply remove this persons contributions from the SA-MP distribution - and eliminate any long-term problems that it might cause.
I understand this move is going to disappoint a lot of server owners who have already been working on scripts to take advantage of the content that was added to 0.3c during the testing phase. It is also disappointing to us in the team as we had dedicated several weeks of development time to new features surrounding the new objects. Unfortunately, the SA-MP team does not have complete control over everything that happens with this mod. We can only take steps to correct problems and try to prevent them from happening in the future. Accepting contributions to the project from external sources has been extremely rare throughout most of the development - as we have always recognised the risk of doing so.
We will attempt to make up for this disappointing turn of events with some new content in the next version of SA-MP (0.3d) - which hopefully won't take too long to be available.

This is awful and a pain in the ass for all of us (scripters) who could have done Incredibly and AWESOME things...

Yeah... I'm not gonna get the objects removed by downloading this shit... Just because someone in the SAMP team went emo...
-
Yay, less lag for me.
-
Hilarious  .... typically SA:MP.
-
Boring to hear actually.
-
Yeah... I'm not gonna get the objects removed by downloading this shit... Just because someone in the SAMP team went emo...
The guy who made them (the guy who left the team) wants them in, it was the decision of the SAMP team to remove them.
Something here has not been revealed yet.
-
Let me guess - that guy stole somebody's work, or did anything which would harm the image of SA:MP, the SA:MP team found it out but they don't wanna say it for obvious reasons.
-
Well, there are still hats and sunglasses in the game from single player from where you dress CJ up I think. So it's not to big of a loss to attaching items to your character.

your gonna have to because if you don't update to the re-release it will most likely detect it as an invalid version. We should be greatfull that they give us such a great program for free and respect their decision to remove that aspect of the new version. they know whats best for SA:MP and im sure they would not remove this feature unless they had a good reason for it. Most likely they dont want to release the full reason why they removed it at this time.
-
Now I mad.

cannot be used in SA:MP

So far for my MDB office.. :(
-
Seriously?
I knew this was happening.
-
How do like dem apples ? HAHAHA So will /glasses be removed ?

Hilarious  .... typically SA:MP.
Agreed.

The decided to make it optional to update.
-
I think its all a bit silly tbh, shouldn't they have ensured all was good before releasing 0.3c in the first place?
-
If I understood correct, the items to be removed are only the stunting ramps... not glasses or any other objects.
-
Icy, there were entire buildings created and formatted to one object, which were going to be used IG, all gone.
-
Well, at least it was only the stunting objects. With the new features it could all be recreated with the scripts anyway?
-
I understand it's a game, and i love playing this game, As i make alot of friendship and better things to know about..
Altho i am sad because some thing are getting removed, Especially to the Argonath SA-MP Developers..
They have worked so hard for it, to be honest, SA-MP Stunt has worked so hard for the objects and sorting them out with Louis Keyl's help.
But i hope something will change and will be better for everyone
-
I NEED A CLEAR ANWER: Will glasses be removed?
2.) When will car plates be added?
-
Glasses will be removed, yes, Things such as Neon lights and etc will be removed..
Number plates will be added when Argonath SA-MP Developers have finish scripting it..
-
For everyones information:
All items except particle effects and the content from singeplayer are getting removed.
This includes items like sunglasses, normal glasses and hats.
Number plates are not getting removed
-
I have to quote many posts, which I won't. I hope this post will make some things clear.
All the custom SA:MP objects are removed, yes, all of them. The elevator stuff, the solid floor for the LS News Building/Office building, everything. The particles object are not removed.
http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Objects_0.3c (http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Objects_0.3c)
People say the beta tester who made these objects left the SA:MP Development team, which caused the objects had to be removed. Other people are saying Kye/Kalcor (Main developers) made a very wrong decision by removing these objects. The beta tester who created these objects said they could use them though.
SA:MP does not wish to give out any further information about this issue. And yes, this is a pain in the ass for the scripters. My RP Elevator is screwed up because they removed the objects. I could remake these objects with 3DSMax, but it would take some time and I cannot remake them exactly like they were (the size), some textures, etc etc. Anyway, let's get back on topic. Someone said those objects will come back. Well, that's all we can hope.
The new functions such as number plates, VehicleEngine, the whole vehicle toggle system, attachobjecttoplayer, etc, didn't get removed as this had nothing to do with the object 'case'. I hope I could answer many questions.
Many servers decided to stay at 0.3c R1. But I'm afraid most of the servers will update to R2.
Please close this thread, everything's back:

yay for the scripters.

Update 2nd Jan 2011
This update was scrapped and the original 0.3c installer has been put back on the download page. If you have installed SA-MP 0.3c R2, please re-download the installer from the download page and re-install 0.3c.
The problem that we had with the model files has been resolved. Everything is restored to how it was in the original release.
Please note: we will be removing some of the models in the next client update as we would like to trim the download size down a bit. Some of our mirrors are experiencing extremely high loads just from client downloads (150mbit/sec). We will be careful about what content is removed to make sure it doesn't effect too many servers.

If it's exactly the same, you're in copyright violation which is not good. But luckily they are back.

So, did they just do a drama just to gain some attention?

Probably less lag for me like Rock, so that's nice.
And this sounds like.. dry, if you will. It sounds like theres something bigger about this they're not telling us. Oh well.
