So yeah. I asked ingame how many that would spend at least 20 minutes roleplaying a job, and guess the result...
One single player out of 128.
So please, vote.
-
Add a "It doesn't matter for me" option and I'll vote.
-
I don't work. My business generates fuck loads of cash.
-
If you see drug dealing as a job, I'd say yes.
-
Depends on what kind of roleplay job it is. If it's one where I wouldn't interact with other players and get paid for nothing, then no.
-
I would rather do a roleplay job and get paid for it.
The only reason scripted jobs would be preferred is because you would get paid for them.
-
If it's a role-play job, you have to either pay good, or the job itself has to be interesting. No one will be a full-time garbage man (which is boring) and work for little cash. This is a game. A job should be fun and/or well-paid.
And define the level of scriptedness in the job. Do you mean a go here - command - get there - command type of scripted mission/job or something that just is supported by scripts in some way, like cop work?
-
Yes, please define "scripted job." I, as Gimli does, like some player interaction, but I like it with a little bit of "spice."
PURELY scripted jobs with no players involved, period? Hell no. While the fireman mission is a bit like this, often times, great roleplays are made out of these, even though the only people the firemen even come to are medics.
Script supported roleplay jobs? Yes; while I'd be completely fine without the script-support, the scripts may actually bring in some profit when players alone are quite stingy... We already have some of these like the cop job, taxi job, and medic job.
Purely roleplay jobs? Well, of course. Just look at the criminal job - really, the only script support we(they) have are heroin and weed (weapons/weapon dealing do not count, as weapons are used by everybody including civilians).
-
I prefer role-played jobs, scripted jobs only have business because they always have the standard and regular pay :).
-
I, with Gimli and Leon, will also agree. Pure alone scripted jobs are boring and only create a "standard pay" for members. If their is an cooperation with the employees (for example a gas station: One person a fuel driver, one person maintenance staff, and one person working on other accommodations such as car-wash and mechanics) then more fun is had within the server as players do their own jobs yet remain workers with each other. If there is a roleplay-scripted job, then it is more preferred for me over a pure script job.
-
I'll say Roleplayed Jobs, we get to interact with many players and i like it :D
-
Scripted jobs are cop, hooker, taxi driver and so on.
Roleplayed jobs are for example gas station employee or whatever.
-
I have combined my favourite activities with a bit of work power and i've got a RP job.
So i voted for RP jobs
-
The poll should be:
1. Custom, player-created jobs (role-play), with no special script support // hot-dog seller
2. Jobs with special script support // cop, driver, etc
3. Scripted missions // fireman
4. None, I do not work
