Hello fellow/faithful players/members of Argonath RPG,
As I was searching some old posts in this board, I've seen posts from July/August last year. That reminded me of times when we had few scripts, small number of members who played here all day. We didn't give up. I cannot number how many times we said this on public chat: "Some day, we'll have a great server". Well, we were wrong. Why? Because then, we had a great server. We always had a great server. Recent months, I've seen so many new, fresh and friendly faces joining our community. From a modest number of 3/4 players daily, we've raised to the most visited. Its still a modest number of 15-18 players but I believe you all noticed the monotonic numbers in the IV:MP Browser list ( 0,0,0,0 and then, you see Argonath, 15). What have we done to achieve this? How did we attract newcomers to stay? I still remember some people who suddenly disappeared after we got met, but some stood. What did attract You, my friend? What do you find amusing on Argonath?
Imagine us in 2 years. Will the same people be here?
You, yes You, will be one of those privileged to say, "Yes, I was there. I watched it grow and develop!". You'll see what I mean, in a year or so. Some say "Its only a game", but on the contrary, we are a lifestyle. We won't go down that easily. Its in my best interest, as well as yours(I believe), to have a great, big community where you can find harmony, peace...That utopia, you use to run away from IRL. All sorts of things may happen in the process, but think of the cause!
All players/members/administration are equal. When you enter the server, there are no administrators. Only your personal guardians, which will help you and make your experience better and more valuable. What are administrators without players? Nothing. You, are the ones who are our eyes and ears. Only you, keep the server alive and shift its mood.
By this occasion I'd like to thank you all. Newcomers, regulars, veterans, admins. All...

Nice words Void.
Right from the beginning when you started this, I wanted to join the IV community, but my crappy PC doesn't run it as I PMed you ;) I would like to help you grow more and more with all the possible things I could do without acces to the game.
Maybe one day I'll be there! Once you got more players online then SA every day :lol: (and I got a good PC)

It feels good to see a new community being raised under the wings of the Argonath Community.
Keep up the way it's going and soon you'll be fully up and running.
The current problem is that many people are still with lower-end computers that do not allow IV:MP to be ran, However this will change trough the years...
And another thing... July / August of this year still have to come :lol:
We'll be here awaiting an additional upgrade on computer parts and maybe one day i'll be able to run it aswell.

I can remember that I suggested the owners to create IV:MP server in the past before even they make IV:MP stable, and Also I can remember that I used to check Grand theft Auto IV board everyday and sometimes every 3 days til they said that IV:MP is legal and Grand theft Auto IV is only used as engine. In that day, I was really happy that owners are going to create IV:MP and from that moment I wanted to help ArgonathRPG IV:MP server to grow up and be the best IV:MP server, but in same time my friend created IV:MP server and I started to help him til ArgonathRPG IV:MP beta came out. then I went back again to ArgonathRPG IV:MP. Also I would to thank everyone who helped IV:MP to grow up specially Tai and Void, because I think they worked on the server really hard.

People who've written here, showed support by playing during 2010, posted around during January 2011. They were newcomers.
What about now? They bring us even more newcomers through their innovative ways of RP. One of them is a developer now, others are administrators or simply the every day show-up kind of members who support us with their game play and helpfulness towards the newcomers. The same newcomers they were. The same newcomers we've helped out.
The future is now, not tomorrow nor the day after.

From a server back in 2010 without players only admins online without cars in server 3 admins stand at airport running around, 1 day the cars camed back i opened up a Driving school a newcomer called Dellstorm came online Started to play, he was a good player wanted to be a Part of driving school i said no, 1 day he got ivited to moderator team. and asked if he could be a Dt at that time =) i said sure you can, with small scripts we kept going hoping 1 day this will turn argonath will grow.
That time is now people with an unstable client for server we succed in have permanent players 24\7 during days eveings server is not under 25 people eveings are even 32 players every day that people is a full server. And it just keep groing alot new pople everyday coming online saying ''wow what a server'' People that is not the script or admins or Management. Its you the ones saying welcome to argonath enjoy your stay that help him find a duty a work, Let him to start a role play character maybe! a community is builded on Players and you guys are our community

We are also nothing without the dedicated players like you that never gave up on the server, constantly fighting to keep it alive and strong as it continued to grow, starting from nothing and becoming one hell of a something. Thank you as well Tand. :)

Yesterday I decided to check, and found that over 24 hours a number of 250 accounts are used on IV:MP.
So do not think that there are "just" 15 or 32 players, it is already a good amount, which is comparable to MTA:VC when it raised popularity.
With the current limits in players, it has all potential to grow once the client is improving.
Its not about scripts, stability or features... its about having people who are really willing to grow a community.

What a wonderful thing when some players say "I quit! this server isn't good!" and next day, you see them roleplaying here or there.
It's not because of the server or it's scripts, it's because of the players, the players who decided to keep going in this community, players who were newcomers one day, and now they're spending their time developing and managing our server; and some others are enjoy roleplaying and learning/teaching newcomers, to be someone who we can feel proud towards one day, someone that is going to help the community one day, just like what we are doing right now.
So thank you all for your support, and thank you for being one of our sincerely players. Our server wouldn't grow up without your support; if you guys didn't roleplay in front of the newcomers, if you guys didn't teach them the rules and what the server is about, if you guys didn't teach them how to roleplay, and such, we wouldn't be here talking about that today.

It truly brings a tear to my eye when I see the same players coming back daily to have fun on the server, and seeing that they enjoy their time here is just another bonus.
At first when I heard about IV:MP, I was in contact with Alan Demarest, we decided with a few other members to open up NOOSE on IVMP, at first it looked strong.
I then applied for an IV:MP moderator position, after some time we decided to drop the NOOSE plan and I went slightly inactive and completely forgot about IVMP and Argonath.
On the 29th of December I had some free time and decided to go on MSN, I recieved a message on MSN and Forums from Tai linking me to a topic on Argonath Forums,
I opened it and saw I was one of the candidates chosen to be a moderator which changed my outlook and I decided to come back and do my bit for the community again,
Now who says there isnt something creepy about that? I go inactive for about a month and get drawn back by being chosen as a moderator.
Still to this day I am helping on IV:MP when possible, unfortunate events recently lead to me being inactive for longer than I had hoped but now I am back in the game. :)

Wow I didn't know that whole story.
I'm one of these newcomers, who is now playing daily on this great Argonath server. And I have a strong feeling about even if it's already the best IV:MP server, it will keep on going better and better. Thank you people for being what you are, and helping us, newcomers, to feel so welcome in here... Argonath is now my second living place ! :)

I remember Tai reading us some statistics of registered account in the "last 24 hours"/past days/months. Plus which are used and which not. We absolutely outnumber any server in players coming/returning and system.
Its not about scripts, stability or features... its about having people who are really willing to grow a community.
There are always people like these around. They're mostly in our administration team now. Because they've shown the exact spirit.

Recent activity on IV:MP has grown and by that, giving all servers a lot more players. However, we can still be proud that we are still the most visited server on IV:MP.
