So today we had a about different communities at school. As I came home I were thinking about this.
I see some people saying "Argonath is starting to be boring". What can you do to make it more fun? What is really a community? How do you make it fun and a better place to be?
Take in example the new cops, freecops. People want them removed since they abuse a lot, which is really true, but you can help them doing it instead of wanting to remove them? I see some players saying "abuse" a few seconds after they got suspected by a new cop, or if they get killed by a new cop while fighting with while refusing to move.
So my question is - What can YOU do to make it a better place for the newcomers and the old players?

The biggest Problem in argonath (My opinion) Is Freecops. They should make it like When you played on Argonath for a week THEN you should be allowed Join /Duty If you not wanna be a cop on full time. Them who Has more Knowledge about Roleplaying should be allowed to Make a application, sins it's only some Freecops Or people who are new to roleplay they are Abusing DMING And Blah blah blah.

To start off, Respect every member in this community.
If someone is new or makes a mistake.. That does NOT make him a noob.
Moaning in /p does NOT work.
Instead of doing that, Contact him and tell him what he did wrong and try to let him understand his own faults, That's the best thing you can do.

The best example is Melvin,
He helped me alot with money, he learned things that i didn't know and he is a very good friend.

That's kind of you mate. I love to see people giving respect back to others. Being good for each other is a good thing, at the end we are all brothers :)

i have good times... the great experience of the players... admins... everyone is all the nicest to me and my firends we are party all day .... :hurray:

You can try make it a better place but your always going to have that certain shittiness to it ... you know what I mean.
What will I do? Nothing.
I'm a person who comes here for a few hours a day if that to chill out with people I have met during my time here.
I ain't here to ... "better" the server.

As a new players guider i must say,
you can't tell regular members to 'teach them' unlike some of you already said on this topic or are going to say it.
Teaching new players is something you do when you want to do it, when you want to do a little extra for the community.
In my point of view people login to Argonath RPG to enjoy themselves with friends or something else they like to do in their spare time.
And also in my point of view you shouldn't give the regular members of the community the responsibility to look after new players, this should be comming willingly from the community member.
I am not disencouraging regular members to teach new players, but im just saying it shouldn't be their responsibility, its not their task nor their fault.

You're right Mark, If everyone would focus on role playing instead of other nonsense, there wouldn't be any rule breakers, moaners, scammers. When everyone focuses on the role play, they'll realize how damn awesome it is :D

Follow the examples set by people like Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli, Jaaskaa, Dave, and Gird3r, among others.
Also, drink vodka (if you're a minor- do not follow) during occasions.
If you live in a place where every day is an occasion, that's not our fault anymore. :D

The admins to use banana more than warn, use warn more than kick, use tempban more than ban. That is what i would like to see and the fact that admins should avoid at all cost involving themself in Roleplay situations because some handicaped who cant RP is moaning.
Would like to see the cops being less trigger happy, they may choose to play tough, bad, good cop however shooting first ask question later should be a last resort.
Civilians atleast complying with cops, not 'am in my infernus, i will be escape chase me' for just a traffic stop which could have ended with a warning.

Improving the graphical and linguistic aspects of the forums
Being a perfectionist writer, I use my skills to improve other's linguistic skills with English. Realizing the fact that most players are from European countries, English has a likely percent of being as a second language to most members. I, having first hand experience, was taught English through everyday interactions with many kinds of people. This is something I want others to inherit in a stance of "learn and teach". With this, members, whose English skills may not be the best, learn from others and at a certain point will teach others the same. Basically creating a cycle of language.
But due to my designing skills, I seek to improve threads and images. My view is that all threads should have some design aspect and should have a general appeal to the public. With this, I make sure that those who may not have the best designing skills to gain experience, influence and inspiration from members such as Frank Hawk, Gimli, Gandalf, and Aragorn. My vision is that all new threads will have great organization, design aspects, and general appeal.
Improving the job opportunities
With the creation of n.corporation, I sought to make a venture from nothing. My specific goal was to higher more new members rather than those with experience. New members who have the incentive to learn and succeed are encouraged to join and will have first hand experience in a business roleplay environment. With this, they will learn how to respond to many aspects and how to become entrepreneurial.

In fact, the regulars who already rulebreak regularly will rulebreak even more because they know they will only get lighter punishments in general.
I would suggest the use of strict force by the admin team to pave the way for a moan-free community. That way, our players will be happy.

Hmm? No? Bad apple in the basket do not spoil the good ones at all. Usually you can see the bad apple and just throw it away. If you can't spot it right away, you take a bite and then throw it away.

make new ways of earning money, basicly argonath consists of, Spend your first month either as a freecop arresting/killing orange people, or join a retarded small criminal group composed of people who cannot Roleplay, deathmatch everyone, cry at forums for an unban, get unbanned, spend another month playing as a cop, join a good group, spend over 30 hours weekly on a weed field, sell, get busted, spend more 30 hours weekly.... and so it goes.. So yeah, Argonath is pretty much a Cop n robbers Server, if you want to RP a civilian - wont work, since you'l probably be on minus 10k in 2 days of selling stuff at Pershing Square.

People should focus more on helping others and less on trolling to boost their own egos.
