Title: In memory of another fallen soldier..
Post by: Que on February 15, 2011, 01:41:57 am
I heard it some hours ago. My friend's uncle which is also a close friend to me passed away last night. He died at the hospital after he got slammed into a wall while he was going with a drunk driver. The driver who drove the car and is now blaming a third guy, which does not exist. With respect and honor, I'd like to spread his drawings and graffiti that meant a lot for him. Rest in Peace, Richard. You will never be forgotten.

Awesome dog really.. Past away last year, this was one of the last pictures with her.
You can see in his eyes how sad he was about that.

Rest in peace my man. See you on the other side!
Bless.

Rest in peace.
If any of you guys have a drivers license, think of this whenever you have had some drinks and want to get in to your car. If you ruin your own life, thats your business... but ruining the lives of others is what you should avoid.

Expanding on this, don't use a mobile phone while driving (even though it is not completely on-topic). In the UK it is illegal to use one without a hands-free kit, but statistics show that the reaction delays of an average driver is greatly increased even if HF kits are used. This risks your life, the lives of everyone in the car, and innocent people not in your car. Don't become a statistic, or cause anyone else to be one.

Moving on to another point, even if everyone in the car is sober make sure all of them, including yourself, are wearing their seat-belts. I don't know whether Richard (may he R.I.P.) was wearing one, so this might not be strictly relevant, but many people die because of another person in the car not wearing a seatbelt, not only themselves.

Sorry to go off-topic, but I felt it ought to be posted.
Just PM me or whatever if you feel the extra paragraphs should be removed.

Avoidable deaths are always the most tragic. Anyone who drink drives is a douchebag.

Exactly.
By driving while you drink may cause more issues than you believe. It might not only cause you injuries or pain, also people around you.
When people die because they're old, or because they got some decease, of course it is tragic.. But when things like this are the reasons..
It's not worth risking other's life just because you're stupid at that particular moment, that's for sure.
