hi guys, as we all know.. alot of people want to know the top speed of a car before they buy it...
i was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on Argo Stunt with testing the speeds...
i know the speedo on stunt is in MP/H but that will have to do because i dont think it will get fixed anytime soon..
heres the form i will be using...
put any cars speeds, drivetrain and brake rating (out of 5)
Car Model :
Drivetrain :
Top Speed (MP/H):
Brakes :
Off-Road (Y/N):
for Off-Road i mean does it lose or gain speed offroad (uphills, etc)... if Gain... Offroad = Y , if Lose... Offroad = N
i am collecting this info so it might be implemented into a car yard script for RS 5.0 :)

Car Model : Virgo
Drivetrain : RWD
Top Speed (MP/H): 150 kph
Brakes : 3/5
Drift (Y/N) : Yes, but hard to control
Can be flipped back onto wheels (Y/N) : Hard to do
Car Model : Taxi cab (based on Previon)
Drivetrain : FWD
Top Speed (MP/H): 144 kph
Brakes : 4/5
Drift (Y/N) : no
Can be flipped back onto wheels (Y/N) : hard to do

i'll add these to the notepad im writing of it :)
cool ive changed the format, but i jus removing "drift" and "flip" and adding "offroad (Y/N)" instead

Ever heard about this? (http://www.google.com/)
-
thatd be great if every server used the same speedo script and had the same gravity etc etc..
but unfortunately, google has different speeds for each car..
-
Move this to stunt server board, if you want to know speeds on stunt server.
If you want to know RPG server speeds, then change first post.

the testing is for a scripted "/carinfo" idea.. someone said if the idea would require someone to get the speed etc. of every car, which i am doing :)
the actual results are for ArgoRPG... but the testing is taking place on stunt :\

Car Model : Taxi cab (based on Previon)
Taxi is based on Premier AFAIK.
Also, you could go in-game and hire people to get vehices of various models, then do your research at an airport or at Area 69. RP it, be a scientist (http://i54.tinypic.com/51owuw.gif)

I can help you, and maybe find a financiation for that project

Check your handling.cfg file it'll tell you what you need to know.

The TS meaned the server speed. That's a thing that we CAN'T find in handling.cfg
-
But cars don't handle differently on the server (as long as you haven't modded your game) AFAIK.
You can just multiply all the speeds from the handling.cfg by the speed factor/multiplier that you can find out by dividing the speed from the server of a car by the speed from the handling.cfg.
You can do it rather quickly in MS Excel if you paste all the data and copy the formula.

Vehicles don't have different speeds over any server unless you directly modify the handling.cfg ... what he needs can be found in that file.

wheres the fun in that :D
i'ma go with the scientist idea Grz had :3

There's a guy that needs help. That help can easily did RP-way.. And you say "google it"
At all your topics in that section I'll post "RP-it" or "google-it". Will you be happy with it, instead of help?
