Title: Windows 7
Post by: Pancher on March 13, 2011, 11:04:34 pm
Does it work good to play GTA SA:MP and Team Speak on Windows 7? I'm thinking of reinstall my PC and begin to use that operative system instead but wish to hear how it works and if it works before i do so.

I run Windows 7 Professional and I can run Dreamweaver, Photoshop CS5, TS3, SA:MP + more.

I'd recommend you make the upgrade.

Well, GTA switches off your Aero, and its annoying sometimes... but yeah, it works fine :)

For dual monitor users, as I was formerly, I understand this might get annoying, but wouldn't you be playing instead of surfing the web? As for the main question, yes. Make the switch. The current computer I'm running is absolute shit and it runs Windows 7 perfectly.. even with a dying HDD.

Update:

I also recommend for you to install Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free and one of the best AVs. It also lacks any "UPGRADE TODAY FOR THIS" bullshit.

Windows 7 Home Edition here. GTA SA shuts down some kind of color scheme, changes it to classic or something like that, I don't understand it. But it runs perfectly. No trouble with TS at all.. I really recommend W7, it's fast, really usefull and easy to adapt to.

I really recommend Windows 7. Much better than XP or Vista. I never had problems with Windows 7 , even though my computer is 4 months old and it always had Windows 7 in it.

I am running windows seven right now, it's awesome. My SA-MP, dream weaver and every thing works great! It's way better than XP, vista. I always keep window 7 on the PC I work on. The SA-MP works great!

Yes. Windows 7 user here (64 bit as well, which is known to have some compatibility issues - consider that a guarantee).

You MAY (small chance) have a problem with SA:MP some time in the future. If you do, just contact me - I know how to fix it :)

Windows 7 is for the win, but not when you have to pay

Windows 7 comes on most newer laptops now.

And just though I'd let everyone know, I am running 7 on a Intel Celron M Processor with only 2Gigs of RAM and I must admit, it does run faster than XP.

I built my Desktop from scratch, I would have had to buy W7 separate.

Do they sell 'Multiuse' disks of W7 like they did XP?

I don't give a shit thats it's illegal, but Windows can trace your IP and catch you, however, if I KNEW I would get away with it, yes I would.

Too much money D:  :D

I'm sure it's possible to get away with, you just gotta try hard and don't make any mistakes
