Title: Helghan Revolution
Post by: MorlanV on March 16, 2011, 04:43:11 pm
I'm going to startup a roleplay called The Revolution, which contains liberating a certain city just for the fun of it.

I wanted to make a Revolutionary roleplay because you never see stuff like Revolution or liberation of governments or even regime's. I also got the idea from the Che Guevara poster in my bedroom, aswell as studying him on Wikipedia.

If you want to join the roleplay, simply post here with your qualifications, what you do best and where your origin is. Picture of your character is allowed, but must be a serious picture, nothing cute like for example Pikachu from Pokemon.

I'm also thinking of making a defense side rather than just police officers shooting at mobs, like a special form of Government, like the CIA for example, and they could post their qualifications and things to join the roleplay.

Revolutionary Leader: Cupid Valentino of the White Shadows Industries

Source: Stahl from Killzone 3
Born and raised in Southern Germany, ability to raze buildings under seize to the Revolutionary Government.

Scholar Visari, Former Leader

Guerrilla Regime Leader: [UNKNOWN]

Colonel Mael Radec, Former Leader of Guerrilla Regime and Defensive Helghan Military

Military Leader: [UNKNOWN]

Admiral Orlock, Former Military Leader

Current Governmental Status of San Andreas: Normal

Current Governmental Status of Los Santos: Government Damaged Lightly

Current Governmental Status of San Fierro: Normal

Current Governmental Status of Las Venturas: Normal

Currently Siezed Area: LSAP, Rodeo, Marina

Current HeadQuarters: Red County, Abandoned Airport

Any participants may start up their own group in this roleplay, and can be for or against the Helghan Revolution.

Any leaders of groups that are FOR the Helghan Revolution are under direct Leadership of Cupid Valentino, and must follow his orders.

Any leaders of groups that are AGAINST the Helghan Revolution are under direct Leadership of [YS_JAPAN], and must follow his/her orders.

Love the idea.

Some say that the best roleplays are the ones "made up on the spot" or ones that "come along as you go," but you really can't make a roleplay ANYTHING like this with EVERYONE cooperating on the spot.

As long as you don't mess up setting up the basic starting scenario with actually guiding all the action "by the script", I do think the best role-play is indeed the improvised one (action-wise). Else it's just acting.

As the idea is based on liberating something, the something needs to be seized first. Liberating from an imaginary force isn't much fun IMHO.

As the idea is based on liberating something, the something needs to be seized first. Liberating from an imaginary force isn't much fun IMHO.

That's why I think it's requiring loads of people to do it, so it will be kinda of like a big roleplay group so everyone doesn't have to be on at the same time, they can just continue the roleplay with a small handful of people rather than play with everyone in the whole roleplay. Kinda like a group that you normally find(E.G. Corleone family, Stracci, AV, WS, etc.) on the server.

I also find it to be a good idea because you can involve officials, like the government, the police force, the fire department(buildings put on fire if your too slack to seize), medical department to help wounded civilians, all that kind of stuff.

So this idea might not come out as expected, but if it gets popular, it would be possible to get a great roleplay out of it. I also had a thought of making it like one of those real life knights and castles roleplays where they have matches for the crown with factions and all that.

Anyway, just go ahead and post, because bad opinions help me improve and idea's help even more to adding on.

Now, thinking a bit more deep, if you want to seize something, you also need the thing to be seized to be interesting and not just an empty area. Then again, you can't just seize a crowded area like GS9, would induce too much deathmatching.

The main area I'm thinking of seizing is either that Arena south of Grove Street, near the first tuner you go to in Singleplayer, or Santa Marina.

If to start at Las Venturas, I would think a piece of highway, like the start of Mulholland Intersection to head south to Los Santos.

If to start at San Fierro, I would think the Driving School or the Fire Department, or even near the Gvardia Compound.

You could eventually organize some post-apocalyptic/mad max style role-play in the desert and the small towns that are in it. You could use buggies and punk skins for a good effect, and have some conflicts between villages over some resource, like fuel (Octane Springs), transported via trucks or even via train. Could involve truck convoy ambushing scenarios.

That way no one should get in your way and z0mg ruin RP too.

I'm going to start working on a letter based invitation to groups asking if they would like to join the Helghan Revolution as part of a society to rule over Argonath with their standards in their own district of a certain city.

Anyone is able to join, just post here with your group name and a link to your topic.

Changed Scolar Visari's image, it was the incorrect person.

Sent a letter to Grove Street Family[INVITE ONLY] containing an invitation medal.

International Report:

Stahl Industries has contained the Revolution in Libya and will be taking Muammar Gaddafi off his throne of Prime Minister and deporting him to the Government of Helghan at a secret facility located somewhere in Namibia.

The current situation in Libya, a rally of Libyan military representing the Helghast colors to sweep out the rebels that aren't against Gaddafi.
National Report:

Los Santos has lost control Rodeo and Vinewood, and we will support for control of Grove Street with other groups and communities to flank the center of LS and squeeze out the officials from the City Hall and force them North to Red County, Las Venturas and south to the bays.

I would like a clean sweep of this government and to prevent war with it, so we do not lose any precious lives of our men.

From the office of Secretary of Defense Monte Montague:

The joint forces of United Argonath ( UA.Argonathrpg.com) FAA (Federal Aviation Authority), Navy (CoastGuard) will not tolerate any affiliates of the so called "Government of Helghan" which needless to say has been named as enemy's of the state.

The Argonath Communist Party has 24 hours to confirm they are not affiliated with "the government of Helghan" organization or serious sanctions will be made.

The National Defense Council of which consists of: CoastGuard, FAA, UA, Supreme Court, FBI, SAPD, ADF is informed and aware of the issues at hand.

[/tt]

Our enemy has been identified last week.

Our spies have now relocated to their offices, and have found information on the Helghan Revolution regarding false claims of nuclear weapons and new weaponry being developed by Industries back at the Motherland, Helghan.

We will be raiding the offices as soon as our transport planes will be ready to deploy to the area.

In other news, technology has been developed to make a sufficient Jetpack that contains an inbuilt Machine gun and jet booster.
