Hi guys,
I'm about to buy a new graphics card.
I own a 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 120 Graphic card..
I want to buy a new one.
Been lookin at a 1GB Nvidia Geforce GT 440 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-msi-gt-440-40nm-1800mhz-gddr3-gpu-810mhz-shader-1620mhz-96-cores-dvi-i-hdmi-low-profile (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-msi-gt-440-40nm-1800mhz-gddr3-gpu-810mhz-shader-1620mhz-96-cores-dvi-i-hdmi-low-profile))
Would that be okay for me? I'm max spending like.. $150 (

The upgrade your doing there isnt very significant, but if your looking at the 4 series cards, ive got 2 Gigabyte 1gb OC GTX 460's they run awesomely, just 1 of them is amazing, but 2 is just epically brilliant
Also, if your looking at 150 max: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-gigabyte-gtx-460-oc-3600mhz-gddr5-gpu-715mhz-shader-clock-1430mhz-336-cores-dl-dvi-mhdmi (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-gigabyte-gtx-460-oc-3600mhz-gddr5-gpu-715mhz-shader-clock-1430mhz-336-cores-dl-dvi-mhdmi)
They are only 149 INC. VAT

That's around 230 dollars. The site is British.
Been looking at a PALIT GEFORCE GTS 450 SONIC, on a danish website: http://www.pixmania.com/dk/dk/7048133/art/palit/geforce-gts-450-sonic-1-g.html#pix-review (http://www.pixmania.com/dk/dk/7048133/art/palit/geforce-gts-450-sonic-1-g.html#pix-review)
It's around 170 dollars I think

Get a 768mb version of the 460 or buy a 5770.

Pointless to get a card that's 3 generations old now. Get something with DX11.

Judging by his current gpu i doubt he has enough powe for a GTX 280 or even a 460. Id recommend a GTS 450.
Would be alot easier if you posted your power supply wattage and amperage on 12v rail(s)

ive got a 650w and its running 2 460's + everything else and 4 HDD's, neons, LED's and Shitloads of fans

You need to open your case and check. There should be total wattage somewhere on the PSU (normally upper left of your case)
Also should be indicated the amps on 12v rail(s).
Like 12V1 = 14A and 12V2 = 15a if you have two 12v rails.
For example i have a 450 Watt PSU but only 288 watts of that are on two 12v rails. And GPU's use 12v.

I personally have a cheap 40 GBP 750W power supply, I had to order adaptors for it to fit my card, but it works like a dream.
My Power Supply doesn't actually quite reach the recommended power level on the card (states it needs 40A, I have 39A) but it is fine, they do it to cover their backs.
