Well; hi again, my mouse is hating me, it freezes evry 5 minutes, and when it unfreezes itzelf, i hear some 'ping' sound, someone know how to fix it?
-
Maybe change the batteries? :) (if wireless)
If not, I have no idea, I guess its just broken :P
-
Aint wireless, and sometimes i have it eatch 5 second, and then i dont have it 5 hours, i have this problem with my 2 other mouses aswell :s
-
Are they PS/2 or USB?
Perhaps there's a problem with port, or some software installed which makes it freeze... ?

Its USB, and iv reinstalled windows also, so i guess it isnt a program?
Ill try replacing the mouse in another USB slot
Edit: Dint work

1. Did you scan your computer (all partitions) with an anti-virus software?
2. Perhaps, I know it's almost impossible, but perhaps those mouses are.. broken? Try to get some other mouse from one of your friends to check if it will work..
-
Probably the "ping" sound is Window's sound which warns you that something got plugged into your PC, have you checked if the USB is well put into the port or if it has any problem to stable and stay well into the USB port (from allot plug and unplug uses)?
For example: does your USB cable 'shakes' into the port?
-
Yeah, its plugged in good enough
And Flame, ill try it.
-
ping sound is windows error "too much buttons pressed at same time" its an error, caused by chipset on motherboard..
-
sounds to me either like, you've pressed shift 5 times rapidly, you've pressed too many keys in at once, your mouse is faulty, the USB ports are faulty
try the same mouse diff computer
try alt tabbing when the issue occurs
does it occur when driving on SAMP, in which case it could be the too many keys
please respond with WHEN it happens

I know the problem Doggi, It's your USB Entry from your computer, try to change the mouse to another USB entry that you don't use the most, If that problem sometimes on my gaming mouse, But if i change it to another entry, it stops doing and runs normally.

I got 8 USB ports, one will have to work i guess, and Jesus, i have it with evrything i do

I have 4 on my laptop, one of them fails, Try it, I'm 100% that will work.

If your mouse is being stupid, send it to school to smarten up.
A drastic measure, for which I hope your keyboard is not USB:
Go to the hardware list and remove the USB controller driver. Restart your PC so it will be restored by Windows.
-
My keyboard is USB also :x
-
does the keyboard ever not work?
-
No, i tried switching to a different USB port, and it helpd for now, hope it will stay

Ok here are some options which i think will solve your problem..
1.
Try using the PS2 to USB converter pin. (if you got it with your USB mouse) and plug the mouse via PS2 and then try..
2.
Try Updating drivers... as most of the updated drivers do solve many issues...
If still none of above work..
3.
Then I think you are having an hardware conflict, you need to check your IRQ settings
(Right click MyComputer>Manage> [select] Device Manager [then view>Resource by connection {then expand IRQ}]
Then select the USB Host controllers and go in Resources it will promt in bottom if there is an conflict, If there is one then you have to change it manually
Some link to refer if you have to go through this process
http://www.helpwithpcs.com/upgrading/change-irq-settings.htm (http://www.helpwithpcs.com/upgrading/change-irq-settings.htm)
Also check out the attached pics i made some for you...
Hope the info. will help.. :)

well if you get the time or decide to bother, try plugging in your keyboard into the USB port that the mouse was plugged into, and post if u get any problems

Got Windows 7? I ask so I can differentiate the ping noises between operating systems.
