Alright, my dad has damn slow internet, and surfing is just pain in the ass with Firefox 4 because its slow.
What is the fastest browser?
-
Chrome / Firefox 4.
-
Firefox :D
-
Firefox 4 is pretty good for me, and my internet ain't too flash..
-
I'd say Firefox 4 also
-
Chromium
-
Chromium
Without a doubt. ;)
-
Chrome / Chromium
-
Chrome
-
Opera for me has proved to be the fastest, plus if you are on a slow connection you can activate Opera Turbo which compresses the page, producing it faster.
However, it seems to hate pictures from tinypic.com as they load slowly D:
-
Firefox. But it uses a shitload of memory, that's why it's not the most ideal browser. Still does the job, and in my opinion better than Chrome and IE.

Hi Fuzzpot (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=5618)
Your best browser depends on what you need it for. For everyday use Chrome is by far the easiest browser to use and with Webkit its pretty fast.
If you need applications its pretty useful too however for advanced users, some tools aren't there which may frustrate the power user of Firefox.
Safari also uses the WebKit engine and I have found Safari to be just as fast as chrome. Personal preference of course but I would always go with the easiest to use and the one that gets you from website to website which the quickest possible ease.
Before you download Chrome or Firefox, be sure that you DO NOT Download the stable version as that is still ( as far as i know) Still Google Chrome 8.
If you want the added speed boost that comes with Google Chrome 11 be sure to download the Beta edition of it. I so far haven't had any problems crop up and I think you'll find it best.

Argonath Website linked to malicious ad twice with IE, never with opera

Firefox 4. All the way.

-
Chromium, one of the best brower's out at the minute. By far.
-

Google Chrome is a botnet.
Safari is for Mac users.
Opera is a mobile phone application (for devices other than Android and N90, we have Firefox mobile for that).
Internet Explorer is used for downloading a fresh copy of Firefox.
Firefox 4. All the way.

Google Chrome is a botnet.
Here's a definition of botnet for you: "A botnet is a network of zombie computers under the remote control of a master."
1. Oh noes - "RLZ contains some encoded information, such as where you downloaded Google Chrome and where you got it from. This parameter does not uniquely identify you, nor is it used to target advertising. "
2. Good, my favourite search engine. If you don't like it, change it.
3. Already removed (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/16/google_chrome_unique_identifier_change/).
4. So? Doesn't matter..
5. Great. It's actually locally hosted tho.
6. Okay.
7. Awesome!
8. I don't mind.
Chrome is the best browser I've used so far in terms of speed (both technical and ux) and screen space (uses the least). Firefox 4 copied lots of things from Chrome, it forgot one of the best features though - the Omnibar
-
I found Google Chrome good for sites that use java/ajax etc
Firefox is good all around
But I use firefox ;)

Everything you type in the Omnibar gets sent to a third party, how do you feel about that?
BAWW PRIVACY

Obviously it gets sent to google to get suggestions.. I don't really care either, nothing to hide..

Exactly, I use Chrome for the web design work I do, I've nothing I wish to hide on the internet, I don't spend my time browsing porn or attacking the FBI.
Chrome is a great browser for anyone especially for those who do web development, Since it comes with FireBug included it means I can test clients sites without spending ages staring at code and re-typing my code.

I've heard that Opera is the fastest, I also heard that they run your information trough their servers(thats how they speed it up), So should those servers be hacked or anything, they might have some important information(passwords e.g.).
I myself use Chrome, it uses minimal processor and RAM resources and loads very fast.
Though it might cause some problems when using JavaTM(flashing screens e.g.).
-
I have just installed IE9. No problems for me yet.
-
Google Chrome is a botnet.
Indeed it is.
FireFox is the most customizable, but sluggiest and slowest when starting up. It has pretty heavy memory consumption.
There's a solution called SWare Iron, which is Chrome without the tracking. Google's plugin database still works with this and the plugins are also compatible for Iron.

If you're worried about privacy and really think everyone really cares what you do online, get off the internet, build an underground bunker and stay there for the remainder of your life :)

I use Firefox 4.
Firefox 4 / Google Chrome

Chrome / Firefox 4.
Chome is the best, for its speed and isn't virus central.

Privacy and anonymity is a serious issue in nowadays browsers. It's much bigger than you think.
I can not get further into details but as an example, I usually engage in illegal activities (raids, DDoS, etc..) since I'm a member of Anonymous and a pedophile thus my privacy matters so I won't get jailed.

So since you are the only self acclaimed hacker we could conclude that you hacked the server yesterday?
You posted that at the wrong time.
-
That'd be chrome

Moral of the story: privacy matters.
-
There is no privacy with browsers there days. :)

Google Chrome, from personal tests back in my nerd days, is by far the fastest browser. But be warned, with that speed comes with high memory consumption. If you want a browser with good speed (faster than firefox) and some addons (less than firefox), go with Opera. If you want a nice balance of speed and a SHIT TON OF FUCKING ADDONS - firefox.

I never use Add-ons so I thats why I use Opera, Just for the speed. Opera and 50mb work well together
-
Google Chrome is the fastest browser 2010 and i think it will be that this year too :)
-
Since Google Chrome came out, I am using it.
I don't have any bad words for it, just download and start to use it. :)
