Title: PS CS5 - Video import causes white video
Post by: Jack Bauer on April 07, 2011, 02:20:15 pm
Ok, so I recorded some stuff on BF BC2 and on SAMP, using FRAPS.
Now I want to make an avatar or a signature using some recorded stuff from BF.
But every time I import the video, it just gives me a plain white screen, where the video should be.

Maybe it has to do with the coded, i don't know.
The video format is .avi

Hoping somebody here can help me.

Thnx

I think it might be caused by the codec. You can use some free program like VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/) to re-encode the video, unfortunately I've never used it so I can't give you a tutorial but I'm sure you can find one by using google or something.

Try to shorten the footage to the same lenght as you need it to be, so you won't be importing like 2GB file into Photoshop.
At the same time, try converting the video into an .mp4 or .mov, even though importing .avi files has worked for me before.

That's because you rendered it with some weird settings :p

Nah its because it was in 1080p and I recorded it at 60fps while my game only was running at 20fps while recording.
So I had 3 of the same frames for every frame.
Its way smaller now though, Thnx for the help again
