Too bad its for PS3 only, if it would've been on PC I would have surely tried it.

I'm a bit skeptical on this.

Socom 3 for PS2 I think was the best SOCOM game, however the more recent, Confrontation (PS3) was clunky, cumbersome and difficult to play. Although I never thought of SOCOM as better than my favourite 3rd person Conflict Global Storm.

  I may only consider buying this if it has a multiplayer co-op through the missions.

I would rent and test it first before I buy in your case.

It does have MP co-op. In the Beta there is an option in 'Multiplayer' called 'Cooperative' (not available in MP Beta, of course).

Ahh.. I remember Socom 3 on PS2 also :D. Great game!
