So, lets say I got a 520Watt PSU.
And the GPU I wanna get requires 550Watt(is says on the website)
What will happen if I pop it in my PC, will it work, will it crash, is the 550watt just for safety?
-
you won't have sufficient power to run the GPU, thus you get a lower performance rate
-
This is what it recommends.
The card should have a '12V' rail requirement, for example, mine is 40A
My card said it needs 500W, I bought a 750W, however, my card needs 40A on the 12V rail and mine only provides 39A, although it runs ^^
What GPU is it, I'll read up on it

PSU: Cooler Master Real Power 520M -> 520Watt
GPU: SAPPHIRE HD 6970 2GB GDDR5(link (http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?leg=&psn=000101&pid=1081))
If its a problem i think i would take
SAPPHIRE HD6950 FleX 2G GDDR5 PCI-E (link) (http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?psn=0001&pid=1099)

My personal opinion would be that that's fine, but I cannot find the 12V rail required Ampage for the card
the PSU delivers 57A on 12V rail which is good
-
I have no idea what that means but I see you do :P
Anyone else wanna share their opinion?
I want to be absolutley sure :)

Buying that card atm is totaly useless btw. You can take some which is much cheaper and it will do same work for games at this time, especially if you play on monitor which is not higher that 22''. Also, what other parts inside you pc you got atm? (Processor,Motherboard, ammount of ram (DDR1/2/3)
-
Im not gonna buy it, its a contest and u get to choose
-
Fucking Hell, just looked up the cards spec, thats a brilliant card O_O
What do you want to play on it? It will wipe the floor with GTA SA
-
I wanna play pokemon with gameboy emulator FTW!
Idk, but if i can upgrade my HD5670 1gb for free to sum epic card, why wouldnt I :P

"If"? You haven't got it? Why are you speculating then?

You actually provided the answer in that sentence.
Use common sense before posting.

I do use common sense, don't even try to play clever because you're not. Also it'd be a good idea to go for a 650+ W Corsair PSU depending on the rest of your rig. You people have to learn to post specs before asking questions like this.

I don't have it, that's why I'm speculating, does that make sense to you?
Apparently not.
