Hello people,
I have an annoying problem in Gta San Andreas.
When i connect to the server, I just play normally, no lag at all!
But then i get a huge lagg every 1.5 minutes for around 15 seconds.
It's really annoying, because a while ago, I didn't have this lagg!
Please help me solve this problem, my resolution, details etc are already at lowest, and srtest.com says i run this games on recommended settings.
Help will be appreciated, thanks!

Check to see if you have any background programs running, and lower the graphics in the settings. Make sure your computer is not heating up also.
-
Specs please. Could be overheating. Are you using a laptop?
-
I am using a computer not a laptop. I will post my specs soon, keep watching this topic!
And also, no, I don't have any background programs running like downloads, etc.. Just the game.

Strangely, this same thing happens to me... but not for 15 seconds.
-
Hmm, And how bad is the lagg with you?
-
Did you install any modifications? If yes, i mind know how to fix it.
-
I did not install any mods. I am still looking for a solution, help is welcome!
-
1. Your computer is not too good. 64MB video... isn't that great even for GTA:SA...
2. You might have messed up something in your game folder or game settings.. I would suggest removing the game, and installing it over again.
-
The problem is your video card.
A nvidia card with at least 128mb of memory is recommended for GTA SA
-
Yeah, get a decent graphics card and it should work okay.
-
I know that my graphics card can handle it.
1. srtest.com says it can.
2. I used to play without lagg on the same card.
Still looking for help :gd:

Switch off other programs which are running in the background and get a half-decent computer.

Are you using a
DESKTOP
or a
LAPTOP

May I recommend Game Booster (http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html)?
This program is great, what it does is ends unnecessary background applications and services and free's up your ram allowing for a faster and smoother gaming experience.
I used it prior to getting my new PC and it helped with lag greatly.

The only problem with game booster is that it removes your mods temporairily.

The only problem is, if you make Game Booster select all background processes to be closed, somethings will actually fuck up until you reinstall them.

Can you not read? He said NOT A LAPTOP

Can you not read? He said NOT A LAPTOP
It clearly says he is "using a computer, not a laptop".
This means he could either be using a laptop computer or a desktop computer, or he could have a board on his lap.
-
I remember my old laptop did this, I put it down to overheating, when it overheats, the fans speeds up, and the CPU stops working as hard in an attempt to cool down.
When it lags, does the fan speed change? Does the Harddrive click more often? Anything out the ordinary?
-
I feel its overheating problem...
Can you clean up the dust near the cooling device and check again..
Same stuff happen with in my old PC that too in CS 1.6 :D

So you think a laptop is a desktop now?
-
When I have some free time I will open up and remove the dust.
I will tell the results :)

He clearly said 'not a laptop', you must be suffering from a mental illness should you not be able to understand.
I think this applies better to you: (http://images.icanhascheezburger.com/completestore/2009/5/13/128867102060785980.jpg)
