Title: Soldier Animation
Post by: FastSh00T on April 24, 2011, 04:53:56 am
I found those awesome mods, and I have one question. Can I use them on the server?

GTA SA Army Vs Zombies (Resident evil Mod) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXQU9UBFgnY#)

Check the description for details.

Not the animations I guess, since they would make you run faster than you should be able to

And remember that you can't modify vehicle handling and properties, you can only substitute the visual model (dff and txd)

Thank you for the answer.

The animation isn't synced on SA:MP because it replaces the original animation. Also the scripts on the server forces me to use the normal running animation, so Can I use it?

If you notice you're running faster or more agile or anything, remove at once.

Yes, it does make your speed faster when you crouch and aim (I tested it). I think those animations are not allowed.
Proof:

(Bad quality on purpose. Changed from 300mb to 3,1mb)

Alright... I will uninstall the animation.

Also, Can you please tell me how did you change the size from 300 to 3.1mb?

Isn't dff only the 3D visual model (even without collision data)?

Yes it is, you modify vehicle handling in handling.cfg. Otherwise, the handling will not change if you're not using hacks.
Remember! Modifying vehicle handling is bannable offense!

download a cupple of diffrent mods on same vehicles, compare them with original, they are usualy diffrent to drive. I downloaded a Camaro SS mod for some vehicles, it was completley diffrent from original, it didnt give advantage on speed but it gave advantage on steering the car ( delited it anyways)

allso lets say you use a limo mod taht is shorter then original, on others screen you will park your car into walls, ram people down, on yourscreen nothing happends, they get fucked up on their screen.

that mod was .dff and .txd only, how could that happend?

.dff does change the handling... actually not the speed of the car, but the way it steers mostly..

That's why a few cars turn over when you steer them, and that's why there is edited handling lines for you to set on the game.. so that the car will be stable and wont steer over.. although many times these handling lines do change the speed of the vehicle also.. so that's why it's not allowed to mod them too if you wish to play online!

Maybe the .dff doesn't change the handling lines but the other things coming with it does.

Guess why we use IMGtool instead of SAMI.

It doesn't. .dff is just for models.
The way it steers + the speed is changed in handling.cfg.
