So yeah, I came just to write about this.

Underground 1 & 2 are what spoiled NFS. They should have not branded those games as 'Need for Speed'.
Need For Speed games from 1 (The Need For Speed) to 5 (Porsche Unleashed) were the best. I still play NFS1, NFS2, NFS4 and NFS5. Can't judge Hot Pursuit 2 (NFS6) because I haven't played it much. Most Wanted was a nice try, but it was too much like those Underground games in handling and general feel.
This video doesn't really excite me. I'd rather watch the good ol' intro movies for NFS1/2/3/4/5.

And now that the game is released, I'd like to bump this and hear some feedbacks and opinions of other people. What do you so far think of this game? I myself love it, since the story and its assembly is very unique.

Already on level 5... Well, its getting a quite boring because its always the same race (runing) and ye, but still a good game, with good cars.

How does it compare to Hot Pursuit?
I recall that this 'drifting-as-if-it-is-on-a-conveyor' that we have seen in Hot Pursuit has been removed and proper handling and engine added. Quite frankly, the majority is different to Hot Pursuit. But as much as I like the game, there are a few things that are not that great.
For example the difficulties easy and normal are way too easy to predict regarding races. You can see when your opponent has a boost or when he slows down, which sometimes makes as few sense as a Ford Taurus PD car keeping up with a M3 E92 that is near the 150mph zone.
But there is one thing that I really love, which is that you have to be skilly regarding these 'hit this key in time' challenges as well as the ones where you have to avoid gunfires of mobs' jeeps or helicopters and last but not least (while approaching downtown NY) the oncoming-traffic-slalom challenge, which is definitely tricky when rushing with nearly 165mph.
I just finished the storyline and I'm up to finish the challenge series to unlock more cars. Even though this game has aspects that speak against this, I'd rate this as a ten.

They just be milking the franchise for everything it's got now.

Your sightlessness totally proves you have no optimisim for any younger game(s) and assures that you have no idea either. Every single release (yes, even the scandalous ProStreet) has something that makes it good again.
Additional note : I didn't ask anyone to complain about the series in general. I asked about judging this game. Seems like nearly no one even went past the main menu ... :hah:

Well, to be honest I believe that 30FPS cap, killed this game......
As for Emre, everybody has his own opinions :)...
I haven't got to try the actual game yet, so can't say anything about it, but from your words, I'm happy that new handling was placed in it.. seeing as in Hot Pursuit, you could not even steer in a tiny road, as that 'drift-handling-steer' thing was.. so silly..

The cars feel like ships in Ship Simulator, you have to hold the steering keys for a sec or two and then you find out you are going too much left or right

Completed the game and well... if you wanna buy don't do it, but if you wanna download it try it.
Its nothing special but it worth for it.

Guys srsly, Topic is about NSF The Run, not about Hot pursuit, Underground or any other part.
Stick to the topic for god damn, Since many people like me want to see infos about THIS game not some other part.
Personally, im interested to try it out.

Looking at gameplay vids it clearly shows that the steering is pretty heavy? Other than that it looks like a decent game
