Title: Best Air Pistol?
Post by: Roman on May 22, 2011, 01:31:08 am
I have been recently looking at two air pistols, Gamo P25 Blow Back (http://www.gamousa.com/product.aspx?product=P-25%20Blowback&productID=356) and Crosman C51 (http://crosman.com/airguns/pistols/C51).

Both are blow backs, which means the barrel slides back when you pull the trigger.

Discuss, suggest.

Why would you get a soft gun?

We shoot each other with those things. Armor, clothes, mask and large forest. :)

I used to airsoft a lot a while back. There are a few things you should consider when buying a GBB.
- Maintenance.
- Availability of replacement or aftermarket parts.
- Cost of use.
- Performance.
- Track record of brand.

If you're looking for something to shoot your friends with, look into some products from KWA, most notably the Glock line. They should all come with metal slides stock and there are tons of aftermarket parts should anything break. They're also pretty cost efficient since they run off of Green Gas. If cost of gas is that important you can also convert them to run off of propane. I bought my Mac-11 used a couple of years back and it still shoots perfectly.

However, if you just want something to fuck around with friends with and not have to worry about maintenance and other stuff, look into a spring gun.

Note the sign at the bottom of the website on Romans Link saying 'These are not toys' ;D

Anyway, ALL Airguns are toys. I fire these beauties.

I would get the Crosman. It's Heavier, fires the pellets at a higher velocity, and looks better.

Go to a proper gun club = $$$

1. Buy/Rent real gun (I like Beretta, $500)
2. Purchase club membership
3. Register a license

Implying I have dont have money for it.

Locked as it seems people don't like Air Guns :(
