Hey guys, for the past few weeks already, my pc started to turn on slowly.. first the " welcome " message takes long to load.. then the pc it's self, I don't have any programs turned on startup, anyone has any idea? Thanks.

Clean up the registry, that will solve some of the slow startup to begin with.
Download this program and run the 'registry fixer' and the 'cleaner' which will sort out some possible problems and wasted space.
Click Here (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) to download CCleaner.
Then what you can also do is a good quality Defragmentation.
Download the program called Defraggler, once its installed run a "Full" defrag on the PC, remember not to use the PC or move any files while it is defragmenting.
Click Here (http://www.piriform.com/defraggler) to download Defraggler.

I recommend TuneUp Utilities..

I had similar problems, Advanced SystemCare 4 fixed them all

yeh i use CCleaner on my system, it works the best

Used CCleaner, it's pretty good atm, thanks Devin.

I use defraggler, ccleaner and a few others to keep my system speedy, but if you are still having some slowdowns, use Autoruns (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx) to enable/disable what runs at startup, which are things that you generally can't see through the services.msc tool.

If you have CCleaner already, why download Autoruns? You can disable some startup programs through CCleaner.
You can change start up programs through windows command prompt(or sth like that) also.

Autoruns has found things that CCleaner didn't, such as the preinstalled crap from when I got my PC which I thought I'd seen the last of!
