Gandalf, your flag needs to be changed still lol, and the mod's broken image in the footer is still there. There's also a CSS issue when resetting your password. On a successful reset, it will state such in white text with an off-white background, which is unreadable. ARPD forums used to have the same bug, and still do in some places. Trane might be able to remember which CSS setting causes it.

Edit: It's probably due to you restoring things, but just reminding you that ARPD's subdomain is mirroring Paruni's domain ;)

Users who have been online approximately 20 hours and above/less have the "l33t" rank. I believe all member groups need adjusting.

Gandalf, I think it's safe to say you restored a modded forum and then reinstalled your mods. I would recommend installing the forum fresh, then reuploading the theme unmodded, and the database, then install the mods one by one so you can prevent further bugs. Either that or find out every mod installed and uninstall the current ones, go through one by one and undo the existing mod code that was left behind so the forum is unmodded, then reinstall your mods as packages.

Hello.

Currently the search function is not working i believe the search database may need rebuilding.

Database Error: Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

The above is the exact error returned when a search is made from the forum index.

My signature and avatar changed to the old one by its own, and from what i've concerned, on certain topic, some pages are gone.

Hey Gandalf.
Today i got PM'D by a new guy that he couldn't register into the forums due a "database error" that wouldn't let him register, can you fix it?
Title: Re: Forum or site problem ?

I think this may be a restore (or in part) from a slightly older time of the forums?

A whole page from this (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=19048.msg1090948#msg1090948 (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=19048.msg1090948#msg1090948)) topic seems to have gone missing, oddly.

Hey Gandalf.
Today i got PM'D by a new guy that he couldn't register into the forums due a "database error" that wouldn't let him register, can you fix it?

I found an issue with main site registration.
While some of the features on the site itself seems to need re-installing/re-uploading, the confirmation sent through email was not working last night.

Just checked it and all seems to be fine (I think).
Although, an error picked up is:

Quote
Notice: Undefined variable: mosConfig_lang in C:\Internet\argonathrpg\components\com_comprofiler\plugin\user\plug_cbmyvideos\cb.video.php on line 14
- just an aspect on the site, I think.

Edit: after checking, the majority just seem to be plugins that are yet to be settled.

Site registration is working again.
Just a few plugins seem to be missing.

Also, you cannot edit your profile - such things as clan etc.?

You cannot edit a `Registered`. Only higher-level users have this power.

Hey guys,

As most of you may be concerned, forum has been possibly restored to a earlier point. We are thankful to have the forum back, but as always, we have to have a restore point when some things like that happens. Posts, Accounts, topics and etc have been possibly removed due to the restore. If you have created a new account before the restore, you have no chance getting it back but to create a new account again.

As for the database errors and bugs, Webmasters and Ownership are looking forward into it.

Coder, I just saw your PM - I can't get your actual email myself, I think we will have to contact a Forum Admin + perhaps for that.

You could try searching 'Argonath' in all the email accounts that you own - as it should pull up old confirmations from the site/forums when you registered.

FBI forums had this issue too with the search database. I think it has to do with the way they upgraded, and in Argo Forums' case, the way they restored AND upgraded things.

Done account recovered :D

Ya, that was reported a few times. It's because when they restored the forum and went to upgrade it, they forgot to manually remove the mod first, so when they reinstalled the mod package, it caused it to double. To fix it they have to uninstall the package, go through the file it modifies and remove the mod's code, then reinstall the package. It's quite a mess hahaha...

To people commenting on posts, all have lost posts, reason being is that it seems the backup is from the 21st be happy that is quite a recent backup not long before all of what happened came on full swing.

It's not the server, it was some idiotic stupid people who managed to get themselves banned.

Actually it was stated as the server because a large majority of players not only fought over them, but many people were also misusing them to show off and act better than other players, so no, it's not a generalization. The server was punished, not just those players.

A Flash update is nothing to be scared of... some movies and ads use Flash and if your player is not up to date it will ask you to update.

Agreed. If you are unsure of it's validity, go to Adobe's website and manually update it from there. That way you can be certain it's not a fake.

P.S. @Gandalf: Psst...the broken footer image is still there buddy ;)
