I think we all know what im talking about. The rubbish new FB chat.
This only allows you to see some of your friends that are online, The ones you "contact the most" (Total and utter lie)

Its really one of the bad updates they came up with..
-
Bad update, it's soo complicated...
-
My first reaction was "Fuck, where'd the 'minimize' button go?? :( "
-
It doesn't concern me at this stage. Because I disabled my facebook, for personal reasons.
-
Facebook has always been a shitty product / service, nothing new there.
-
I fucking hate it. It's probably one of their stupidest ideas, along with only showing updates from 'friends you contact the most' on your homepage
-
Never use FaceBook - deleted my account a year ago.
-
Yea it is a shit update, but the list of online people to the left of the screen remains unchanged.
My main problem is just generally with the interface, and how it folds below the screen when you click on someone's name. Previously, you could click there again to minimise.

:(
It was really easy and a bit more fast way to minimize hope they do ad it up once more..
also the people who are not online is just taking up unwanted space, I feel having one option of display only online members would have been more good..
But I think all of those changes with webcam are added up only due to the new Google+ stuff..

After we made changes to Facebook Chat a few weeks ago, we got a lot of feedback that people missed seeing all of their online friends. Today, we made a change so that Chat now shows the friends that you message the most, as well as the rest of your friends who are currently online.
Welcome back, old Facebook Chat.
No minimise still, but friends are all there.

I use Skype to chat with FaceBook chat. I simply disabled the chat on FB then blocked it with adblock. Everything's sent to my Skype instead. Much better that way.
-
It is possible to minimize it now, there's a small button called "Hide Sidebar".
-
Yeah, it sucks bad. I tried doing some searching on getting the old one back, but I guess it's impossible.

You can't delete your account, only de-activate it, but it still remains there... :P
-
It's not bad tho. You can send messages faster to offline ppl.
-
I have no problem with it what so ever. From what I've seen, all they've really done is merged inbox and chat. I did find it annoying how only a select few of my contacts appeared on the chat menu, but it seems that issue has now been resolved with the 'More Online Friends' section.
I'm happy.

The new facebook chat really sucks in my opinion. Think they should change it back to the old one as they had before.
-
I hate not being notified before they put these things through. Like, I remember on MySpace, everyone got notified before the change to Profile 2.0 was available and that it was optional to those who had an account before the change, but now we get stuck with this and cannot do anything about it. :/

I think that is the single biggest FAIL facebook has, it does not notify users of any upcoming changes and does not give them the opportunity to opt out if they so wish, and they even have a developers' blog which they rarely update!

https://addons.opera.com/addons/extensions/details/facebook-chat-sidebar-disabler/ - Opera Extension
I've only used the Chrome one, and it works, so I suppose the other two do as well. ;)
