Title: A question regarding the leviathan.
Post by: Biggo2 on July 12, 2011, 11:57:47 pm
Hi. Just a small question...

Since the Leviathan has two big chunks of shit on the side you can stand on and shoot, is this allowed? Is it against the rules?

What made me think of this was the FBI. They used this against me when I turned orange.

LOL Miker, "two big chunks of shit"..

I think it should be allowed if the FBI uses it.

Then it is allowed I guess.

FBI standing on a flying heli and shooting? What?
This is script abuse, since you can't shoot from the inside of a heli.
/report next time.

No no, you know the big things that the wheels are attached to on the Leviathan? See a pic and you'll understand what I mean. They are standing and shooting on it. Nothing to do with scripts...

I asked on main chat, everyone said it wasn't allowed. But if FBI does it then it must be?

I Was confused, I meant it is abuse because you normally can't shoot from a heli. Not allowed, even not for the FBI.

Carsurft + shooting so where does this lead us you ask?

simple its not allowed standing on the sides of the chopper to shoot is the same as carsurfing if you see anyone do it /report ID reason

Me and Flak invented the technique.
But the FBI grovel at our feet, so they decided to imitate our greatness.

Well if it's not allowed to stand on a helicopter and shoot, why the hell can people stand on boats and shoot? I do see the same thing here.

Exactly. Can't actually figure why FBI used it against me(on the helicopter) if it's breaking a rule. But the boat thing, SWAT does it all the time when suspects are in water.

Well regarding you're question you are NOT allowed to stand on the helicopter and shoot as it's the same as car surfing and shooting.

Boat's I'm not sure about because it's no difference it's just from land to water.

Carsurfing is only, when the vehicle is moving. Vehicle is not moving - not carsurf.
If helicopter is in the air, it's carsurf.

The they were flying it so they broke the rules. Thanks for clarifying.

What about boats? SWAT uses it, so we can use it, right?

I can remember the person shooting, but not the peron driving. If you wish I can mention who that was here?

As far as I know, surfing and shooting from an aircraft is allowed as the danger of accidentally falling off or getting hit by the blades highly outdoes the advantage.
Correct me if I'm wrong, however.

Shooting from a boat is the same as carsurfing. So yes SWAT also broke the rules. They should be remembered of the rules, they are players just like the rest.

You seem to be implying by this statement that the entire FBI always follows the rules, which is clearly untrue.

The they were flying it so they broke the rules. Thanks for clarifying.

Boats are fine, if I remember correctly.

If boats are fine aircraft is fine too. It's a much higher risk than boats.

Same as cars, which is not allowed.
So basically all forms of standing on vehicle and shooting is not allowed.

Didn't even know if that's possible lol

Boats vs. other boats is fine. Realistically you're never gonna have someone standing on a boat firing at the land. The same is not true of air vehicles.
Same as surfing on a plane/heli to shoot another plane/heli is probably both overlooked and awesome at the same time. However, surfing a heli to shoot the ground is not allowed.

Shooting from a  boat has been always allowed on the server. Criminals use it, cops use it, never seen anyone being punished or caught
for it

.
Same as cars, which is not allowed.
So basically all forms of standing on vehicle and shooting is not allowed.

Do not make conclusions on your own, wait for someone who has the authority to respond  ;)

Its not script abuse at all. Its vehicle surfing which i'm sure isn't allowed but it does not require the use of any scripts/abuse of any scripts.
I've heard of people having the ability to shoot from boats without punishment so i'm not entirely sure where this rule stands on helicopters.
Personally I can't see the harm if you can pull off staying stable enough and alive long enough to make that work.

Gandalf has stated that all forms of shooting from on top of a vehicle, even at a suspect swimming in the ocean, are forbidden. This was implemented when SA:MP introduced the Easier Carsurf feature.

For suspects in the ocean, cops should call air support (HH) or stay close to them, since RHL timer doesn't lower when a cop is nearby.

yes, cops will sit next to suspect swimming around in the ocean until he thinks "ok I will go to land now"...

It has always been okay to shoot from a boat, and it is much better than having to call some Hydra or Hunter shits for every little suspect.. suspect in a plane, go get a Dodo and driveby. Suspect in the water, WTF are Coastguard and other police issued boats for..? Such vehicles should only be for planes that are much faster than driveby planes (Dodo, Beagle) or to intimidate and if shot at can return fire.

I don't see whats wrong with Plane-surfing and shooting.
It takes a serious amount both from the pilot and surfer, and if one little mistake happens it can be fatal for the surfer. The danger heavily outbalances the advantage, don't you think?
Title: Re: A question regarding the leviathan.

It has about as much advantage of trying to kill a combat wielder with a knife.

Don't look at me, I had the same reaction. Gandalf told me over MSN. :devroll:

Well, the plane-surfing accuracy and sync is still notoriously bad as you have to take into account the lag of the pilot as well as yourself and who you are shooting at.
