Title: Speedometer for passengers
Post by: miha1111 on July 24, 2011, 12:34:52 pm
I noticed passengers dont have it?Why not add it for them, not realy some big use but it wont hurt if they have it and it can be used by passengers in taxi, like "Driver, please slow down, Im afraid of speeding".

EDIT: Or as RaFu stated, in could be VERY usefull for driving teachers.

Ahahahah "I'm affraid of speeding"
That could be very usefull, for teaching drivers especially, as Rami asked in another topic (where he requested /speed for every player)

Supported

Supported, also I would like to support the idea for Driving Teachers...I had to monitor the drivers speed for rami the other day so he could tell the student to go faster or to slow down..

I dont see the purpose if this other than beeing used by driving teachers. If you are afraid of speed then you can say it without seeing the speedometer going over 80... You will feel when the driver is driving too fast for you. I only think its needed for driving teachers. But if its going to be made it can be available for everyone tho.

You have two eyes and a perfectly good monitor to see when someone is pushing the pedal a little bit too enthusiastically.
Don't need a speedometer for that.

I think they mean it in terms of RP though. At 80, a player is borderlining the speedlimit, but if they are going 90, you might not be able to see the difference because the increase in speed is visually too small. I actually think this could also be useful in training ARPD Officers (formally FreeCops) on how to correctly patrol and drive so they don't speed everywhere by having a LCPD Officer patrol with them and watch how they interact and perform around others.

I support this. it allows driver teachers a useful tool, and puts some stress down on others who are driving car (ie: example given above about 2 cops in a car).
