I've just freshly installed GTA SA on my laptop which is more than capable of running the game, but it won't launch.
I've tried...
- Running as admin.
- Running in compatability mode.
- Running the game at 640x480.
- Updating drivers.
- I've also heard about deleting a file called gta_sa.set but because this game has never been able to launch to create a settings file, this file does not exist.
I'm running out of ideas.
Please help.

I'd try these:
If the game has been installed before and you are using Windows Vista or 7, go to AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games and delete the possible GTA SA folder inside.
Or, try restarting the computer.
Or, try installing the patch found here. (http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15151)
Or, try installing it to another folder.

Next time you might want to add your operating system and what kind of problem in detail you are experiencing.
Is there any specific place it stops at, does it stay blank then close etc?
-
Post your Operating system and system specs
-
Did you bought the game or did you cracked it?
-
Try Installing it into a different folder, maybe 'San Andreas' instead of Rockstar Games
Try entering GTA through the shortcut in the installation folder.

OK I've got the game to launch but now it crashes on start-up with SA-MP. It loads and then crashes.
I'm using Windows 7 and I'm also using a no-cd crack that works perfectly on every other computer I've used it on. The game is legit but I don't want to have to put in the CD to play the game that's why I'm using a crack.

I found a fix on this forum.
http://forum.sa-mp.com/showthread.php?t=103182 (http://forum.sa-mp.com/showthread.php?t=103182)
It is the official SA-MP forum so there should be no issues with posting links.
