Title: Forum Profile - Skype Username Field
Post by: Hieu on August 06, 2011, 12:32:56 pm: I know this may not have any significant importance but as I've noticed since returning, a lot more people are using Skype now (actually coming to think of it, a lot more people I know in particular university undergraduate and postgraduate students and friends/family from abroad on the whole). Although MSN is still commonly used, I think it might be a good idea to add the Skype field so other players can show their Skype details if they wish so they can connect with others through the application.

Yes there is TeamSpeak, but it's not really an environment if you wish to speak to several specific people without being interrupted - and even though you could move into another channel, I still think the superiority in the VoIP quality in Skype still makes it more favourable for some players within this community.

If adding this is not possible, another suggestion could be to replace the ICQ field with the Skype one, as I still am under the assumption that it's one of the least used IM applications.

I'll leave it like this then. There's nothing more I wish to add to this idea. Over and out.

Go to your profile. Inside there go to modify profile -> Forum Profile.

All the way down at the bottom is Skype!

Post by: SugarD on March 08, 2012, 09:10:53 pm: This can be locked. Oddly enough, there is a bug now which is causing us to have two Skype fields in the profile. A bug report was submitted previously regarding it, however.

Well considering Skype only allows you to log in with one at a time, something is wrong there :lol:
