Players on all servers of the IP 178.63.52.144 can currently experience lag and short timeouts.
This is due to the server being under DDOS attack at current time.
Those who wish to point at the host as reason for lag are challenged to find a host that will manage to keep servers available without any lag while under DDOS traffic attack.
We will try to bing down the attack, in the mean time we hope you all will remain calm and loyal.

Long live the empire! ... I mean Good luck on the fight :D
-
Thanks for telling us Sauron.
Bypassed the information to the Minecraft forum.
-
Thanks for the information.. Certainly we will be the ones to win :m4:
-
Thanks for the information Sauron. Haters gonna hate.
-
Let them attack. They've failed for five years already, why should we worry?
-
We can't just protect ourselves from these attacks? I mean, every time a kid DDOSs our servers, we experience some lag and such problems, it's not stop-able?!
-
Thanks.

The best protection is switching off...

These have been happening extremely much this last month. I hope there is no certain issue that's causing this
But then again we'd be the first to know ;)
-
Just someone who wants attention, hope it will end up alright.
-
This is getting old.
-
Just remember guys, if you see that the server is still down, don't try to connect anyway. Users trying to play during the attacks only makes it worse for everyone, you included ;)

Was already pointed out. Are you trolling again? :trust:

I know of a gaming website that was under a DDOS attack.
The police immediately shut it down and arrested the attacker.
Is there any way to report the attacker to the police and let them deal with it?
Because it is not allowed under the internet law.

If the attacker is found then yes, we immediately report to the police and provider.
The problem of a DDOS attack however is that you can not always trace the origin.
A DOS attack is very easy to spot, block and report... a DDOS however can be pretty tricky...

I see.
I hope the situation gets cleared out soon.
Sad to see people do such useless things.

They are attention seeker retards.

Whoever does it is a knob if you ask me. Argonath is just a great community of people having fun together in a non-profit way. Yet people always seem to want to mess around with people for no gain, just bugger off who evers doin' it.
-
Yhe they have tried for 5 years.
It only serves to prove the point that people are jealous of this community being strong.
Good work Sauron. :)
-
The problem is pretty much solved.. I guess. You can fix me if I'm wrong.. But I haven't discovered any time out / lag so far.
-
Wireshark greatly helps in such cases.. detecting the IP sending the useless bunch of packets.
Worst thing is most DDoSers wouldn't be thick enough to use their own IPs in such cases.. sitting under 900 proxies is always something they'd have under their sleeve.

Is it on the forums now? I'm getting a database error when replying on the ATC-topic in the SAMP-City Hall.
-
That is another issue zamg0d1.
Make sure that you are not using illegal characters in your post.
-
Great to see I was not the only one experiencing this, hope you fix it soon enough.
