Title: Splinter Cell: Conviction
Post by: Trey_Johnson on August 10, 2011, 03:55:18 pm
Splinter cell conviction was published in 2010, a 3rd person, stealth action game.
The main charecter in the game is Sam fisher, and in this game he is trying to uncover the truth and get to his daughter. The game is quite long, with about 10 missions, each of about 40 minutes ( If you are good and used to the game ). The game also has a co-op and multi-player.

I like this game, I think they imporved it alot since the last one ( I think the last one is double agent ).
Anyways, I'm searching for anyone who has it for the computer to co-op with me, it's not fun to do it with random people who dont know how to team-work.

They did a bad job on Convictions, they removed tons of features from Double agent, which i didn't liked that much.

Splinter cell has now became a normal third-person shooter for me, because strategy is almost gone.

Convictions was a good game but the storyline was naff.
They massively improved the gameplay without a doubt and adding the ability to pickup weapons for once aswell as new takedowns and what not.  I'd have preferred it if Sam was still working for Third Echelon and not going off to exact revenge on his not-so-dead daughter.

I loved the CO-OP is was fresh but lacked a storyline to it even though it had one ...

In all I wouldn't recommend it to anyone if they wanted a good "stealth" game ... go buy Assassin's Creed for that.

I like assassin's creed aswell, but I want a modern stealth game aswell.
True, there are some lack of options that were in previous splinter cell, but there also new adds-on.
Too bad the co-op was too short.

Btw, rusty, do you have it on the pc or Xbox or ps3?

Conviction was meant to be like that, it was the only game in the series that was suspossed to 'stand-off' from the rest, and go more improvisation than stealth. I loved interrogations, shame the game ran like shit on my PC and I had to run it on lowest settings.

Xbox 360.

Ah dang it, I was hoping we could play together, I finished every possible thing in the game, tho the co-op doesn't work perfectly for me, hard to find matches.

Just an off-topic question,  If I plug my Xbox 360 ( I'm talking theoriticly, I dont have an xbox 360 ) instead of my computer, to the computer screen, it will still work the same right? It doesnt matter which screen I plug the Xbox 360 to ?

You can't plug it :P

Unless you get a very special cord, or it is a laptop.

Well I never seen an xbox 360 "into the screen" cable, so I have no idea if it can fit to my new screen..

Just use VGA cable for your 360 to connect to your PC monitor.

I finished it like 15 days ago, it's simply epic , I love the fact that you can modify and inprove your weapons. And guys , when you finish the storyline be sure to play the Deniable Ops, it's awsome.

Play it on Realistic.

I have, it's still easy. you need to kill 10 people and they accutally give you a stealth situation to each one of them, so if you're doing it right, there's no chance you'll be detected.
