Hey guys, it's been a LOOONnngggg time since i've been on here. looks like a lot has changed, and everything looks awesome!
I was just curious if there's any possibility i can play on the server/get the SA:MP client for my macbook pro on Snow leopard? I read about using parallel but it would take uber long and i heard it is slow/laggy.
Thanks!

Just use Boot Camp and install Windows 7. I have been doing that for over four years on my Macbook Pro and survived.

Hey [TCL]Dune, welcome back.
Technical questions are technical.
Moved to the correct board.
Regards.

What Nathan said, it doesn't make your pc any slower and you can choose when you boot your pc whether you enter windows or snow leopard :)

Just to make this a bit clearer, the only way to play SA:MP on your Mac is to install some sort of software that loads Windows natively. GTA:SA is now available for Mac OS, but SA:MP is not. If you want to run both together, suggest it on the SA:MP forums at http://forum.sa-mp.com/ (http://forum.sa-mp.com/).

Use a program called Winebottler should work fine.

I know WINE (Windows Emulator) works on linux, don't know about Snow Leopard.
However, I suspect that with WINE you need to install Direct X to it as well

Put the useless Macbook to the trash and buy a real PC.

If it's for gaming, I agree with this.
I have a PC for stuff like this, but try CrossOver, and WINE. Bootcamp is for dual boot, so you can also try that. I've never really tried to game on Macs, besides MineCraft. I've heard that the GTA III trilogy is on Mac though. I would really recommend a PC for gaming though, but that's just me. I use my Macs for the stuff they were made for. Music, videos, and graphics design. Mac machines are not gaming machines regardless of the effort they're trying to put behind it.

For Mac you have a program named Wineskin, here's a guide (http://camendesign.com/gaming/wineskin_guide) on how to set it up for some of the PC games.

I'll get my new MacBook(school pc) tommorow, will probably try to install SA:MP asap
